Seikaku Chapter 28

Ikitsumi snuggled against Marusha happily, humming the music that always filled Marusha's Wings.

"Wow, you two spend a lot of time in each other's company!" Itachurai chuckled.

"Hey, don't be complaining...it's cute," Ryca pointed to Itachurai.

"I agree with Ryca and Itachurai," Ujani raised her hand sheepishly, laughing.

"Who said you guys had to vote on your own opinions?" Marusha asked with a slight scowl.

"No one, really," InuSana came in, followed by Demiku.

"Why are you here?" Hitaru asked, coming in from the other doorway, followed by Pegusa.

However, there were nine beings in the room...

"WHY IS EVERYONE IN MY ROOM?" Ikitsumi demanded in a scream.

"Jeez, do you really need that much alone time?" InuSana asked with a grin.

"Didn't we tell you anything like that isn't going on?" Marusha asked with a pink face.

"Are you sure?" Demiku asked in a singsong voice.

"Yes," Ikitsumi replied, her arms crossed. "But I bet you don't know the real Marusha," Demiku grinned.

"Itachurai, the drawing please," Hitaru smirked. Itachurai came up and showed a drawing to Ikitsumi and Marusha.

Ikitsumi's face went red. "What's with the rope that he pulls and makes a huge pile of bras fall into a huge pile over my body so they pummel me to the ground and I'm buried underneath?" Ikitsumi’s face went crimson.

"That's something I would probably do," Marusha said suddenly.

Everyone stared with dropped jaws, Ikitsumi more so than the others did. Marusha was silent, then his face suddenly went red and a sweatdrop ran down his face. "Oopsie...did I say that out loud?" Marusha asked, rubbing the back of his head as he sighed, his face redder than before.

"You're just as bad as I am!" Demiku and Hitaru exclaimed with huge grins on their faces.

"Never thought that was you," Ryca rolled her eyes, sighing.

Ikitsumi turned around and bashed her head into the wall, then fell back into Marusha's arms with a groan and a red forehead.

"Why do you keep doing that?" Marusha asked, picking Ikitsumi up by the shoulders and shaking her.

"I don't know...Because I am scared of perverted actions..." Ikitsumi commented.

"Don't even pretend you haven't tried that before," Marusha retorted with a grin.

"That was Okizayu and Kitsumani's idea!" Ikitsumi said stubbornly, a blush creeping up her face.

"What's with everyone?" Pingean asked as she came in the room.

"It's called teenagedom and everyone being a pervert," InuSana replied flatly.

Ikitsumi sighed, and then looked to Hitaru. "Nii-chan, what's wrong?" She asked, as he looked frightened.

"I'm...claustrophobic," Hitaru commented, recoiling as the others came closer to give Pingean space to crawl into the huddle.

"OK, give him room," Pegusa said as she pushed people from Hitaru, then the Fallen Angel relaxed.

Seikaku Chapter 27

"Hello...Marusha? Is that you?"

"Yeah...Are you OK?"

"Aye...I just miss you a lot, that's all. I mean, it's been several months since we last saw each other...I try and contact you at least once every week..."

"Don't worry, I'll be back soon. Mother wanted me here to help Father run some business with managing Angel's Realm. I've got too much on my mind. Sorry I had to leave."

"I'll be OK...Just come back, all right?"

"Of course I will."

"Aye...I hope to see you soon. I love you Marusha."

"Love you too."

Ikitsumi sighed bitterly, letting the Feather hang loosely on the glistening brown string that was made of Marusha's hair. Ever since he'd left for helping his Father run the tasks of his home, Ikitsumi was lonely. She really missed Marusha.

"It's saddening, isn't it Hitaru?" Pegusa shook her head slowly, staring at his Wings.

"A sad story coming to life," Tojiri sighed, also glancing at his Wings.

"I'm feeling really bad about it," Hitaru said nervously, staring blankly at nothing in particular.

"He'd better get here soon," Demiku said. "I mean, I can't keep going over there every single day...I'm usually too lazy to do so," he said, and got glares from everyone. "What?" He asked, frowning.

"Eh...Demiku, why are you here?" Ikitsumi asked as everyone booted the Spirit into Ikitsumi's room forcefully.

"Want me to give anything to Marusha?" He asked.

"W-what are you saying?" Ikitsumi asked with her heart racing.

"I can go to Angel's Realm and give something to Marusha...If you want me to," Demiku said, then his eyes widened as Ikitsumi went to her shelf and pulled a thick stack of papers.

"Just tell him to look through these in his spare time," Ikitsumi said rather cheerfully, and then beamed.

"Aiya..." Demiku gawked then grabbed it, nearly falling. He disappeared in a poof, papers vanishing too.

"Thank you!" Ikitsumi said as an afterthought, then left her room to go see everyone.

Hitaru groaned as Ikitsumi ran away wailing.

"Hitaru, go after her now!" Pegusa growled, leering at him.

"What am I supposed to do about it?" Hitaru demanded, fuming. "Hey uh...Ikitsumi, are you there?" Hitaru called out, poking his head in her room.

"What do you want?" Okizayu growled, sitting cross-legged on the floor next to a crying Inuaro and frowning Kitsumani.

"Why are you crying about me? If it's Marusha you miss, why does Inuaro keep crying when she sees me?" Hitaru asked.

"Why don't you look in the mirror?" Kitsumani asked, pointing at it.

Hitaru looked confused, and then went to do so. Several Feathers on Hitaru's Wings were now white. Even as he watched, another one grew white.

"Selflessness...That's what's causing this," Inuaro managed to say tears streaming down her face.

"You're changing, Hitaru...No longer the selfish, non-caring brother. You're redeeming yourself," Kitsumani said, patting Inuaro's back.

"You know what? How about I take you there to see Marusha?" Hitaru offered, looking at the Trio.

"Y-you'd do that, Nii-chan?" Inuaro asked, looking at him and standing up. "Of course," Hitaru said, smiling and realizing another feather grew white.

The Dog Demon hugged him, making the Seikaku Trio reform together.

"Oops..." Ikitsumi laughed nervously.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Once there, Hitaru waved at Marusha and his father, running to them with Ikitsumi.
"Ikitsumi, it's you!" Marusha exclaimed, setting down a stack of papers and running to the Ikitsumi and Hitaru.
The Fallen Angel smiled, seeing his brother and 'sister' reunited.
A few onlookers stared, and then went back to whatever they were doing.
"I'm happy you're here," Marusha said, looking at Ikitsumi. Her face was slightly darker, a tinge to her cheeks. Her hair was longer and curlier at the tips; her tails were longer just like her ears, but in a way so they appeared wolf-like. She seemed to have grown, but only by an inch.
"You notice something else about her?" Hitaru grinned, his eyes indicating Ikitsumi to Marusha.
Marusha stared at Ikitsumi curiously, and then his face grew red. "You pervert!" He growled at Hitaru, who was cackling with laughter.
"Oh, so you did go through my new clothes, especially the new..." Ikitsumi glared at Hitaru, crossing her arms.
"Actually, Demiku did and told me," Hitaru admitted. "Congrats," Hitaru meant to add to himself, but it accidentally came out. Ikitsumi's face went bright red.
Marusha simmered with anger, and Hitaru backed away nervously.
"Hey Hitaru, have you noticed that the last time you saw Mother, she seemed a little slow?" Marusha asked.
"Yeah..." Hitaru said, looking up curiously.
"Well, Mother is---"
"Hitaru, Marusha, there you are!" Satire ran to the group, panting.
"Father, what is it?" Hitaru asked, perking up.
"It's your mother..." Satire said after he caught his breath.
"We have a stepbrother now?" Hitaru exclaimed in shock.
"In a few minutes," Marusha said, looking at Ikitsumi.
"That's wonderful!" Ikitsumi exclaimed, beaming. "So this is why your father called you for help while your mother was gone!" Ikitsumi added thoughtfully.
"She's been in the hospital for that reason?" Hitaru asked, and Marusha nodded.
"Uh...If he needs a name, I suggest...What about 'Ramaku'?" Hitaru asked Shiori, who was lying on the bed, sighing.
"Maybe 'Enmako'?" Marusha suggested.
"How about...hm...Makoto!" Ikitsumi said happily, and the two Shikuroi brothers looked at Ikitsumi.
"I think it's a nice name," Shiori smiled at Ikitsumi and her stepsons. "And Hitaru...Your Feathers..." Shiori indicated, and Marusha whirled around.
"I didn't even notice..." Marusha gaped, eyeing the specks of white across Hitaru's Wings.
"It's the best thing ever, isn't it, other than a new addition to the family?" Ikitsumi asked, happy tears filling her eyes.
Seikaku Chapter 26
Hitaru tickled Ikitsumi from behind, making her shriek in laughter and nearly fall down onto the floor.
"Ow, my ear..." Marusha winced, fanning himself from the heat.
"Sorry," Ikitsumi grinned wolfishly.
"Still sensitive after all this time..." Hitaru shook his head with a smile.
"Well, I can't be of assistance to my own little weakness! Marusha, help me!" Ikitsumi threw her hands in the air, and then stared at Marusha with puppy-eyes.
"Well, I can't help but laugh when I see someone being tickled," Marusha shrugged, laughing.
"Aww, come on!" Ikitsumi pleaded.
"Hey everyone, it’s time for a funny moment!" Hitaru declared to everyone else then tickled Ikitsumi again.
Ikitsumi flailed around, this time falling to the floor, but not before dragging her sister Pingean down with her.
The others laughed, and then Hitaru got tickled by Pegusa and squirmed around, also falling to the floor.
"I CALL A DOG-PILE!" Marusha screamed happily, jumping and landing on top of Ikitsumi and his brother (only his feet on Hitaru, most of his body on Ikitsumi).
Everyone whistled and whooped, and then Pegusa shrieked "WHEE!" And attacked the small pile next, jumping onto Hitaru with a laugh.
"This feels so awkward..." Ikitsumi said to Marusha, blushing crimson.
Dingo jumped in next, laughing like his goofball self over everyone so far.
Itachurai jumped onto the pile, her cheeks puffed out like a little kid's cheeks.
Toryu flew high into the air and plummeted down, some of the group not bracing themselves for the impact.
"It’s my turn!" Suzume laughed, imitated Toryu.
"Hey, you're not supposed to be copying me!" Toryu scolded after she caught her breath.
"YAY! WE’RE JOINING THE DOG-PILE!" The dog twins suddenly jumped in from opposite sides, their heads cracking into each other's, making everyone wince.
The two cats suddenly came out of nowhere and pounced onto the large pile, laughing.
"The bunny wins!" Ryca declared, hopping onto the pile happily.
"No, the penguin wins!" Pingin laughed triumphantly then got pushed down lightly.
"Not unless I can say something about that, because this is a DOG pile!" Tojiri tackled Pingin down, laughing triumphantly.
"At least we're together," Marusha muttered to Ikitsumi, who laughed and kissed his cheek.
"Eww," Pingean grumbled.
Hitaru poked Pegusa and she poked him back.
"That was fun," Dingo said, then pushed his self upwards so that the pile started toppling over.
Loud screams were heard, and then everyone came crashing down.
"Heehee, I win," Dingo grinned, then got pulled down by a red-faced Pingean.
"Hey, I think someone has a crush..." Ikitsumi teased Pingean, who immediately let go of Dingo and buried her face in her hands.
Everyone laughed as they lay there on the floor.
"We should do that again sometime," Tojiri declared, and everyone cheered enthusiastically.
"See Marusha, this is great!" Ikitsumi beamed, and then hugged the Angel, laughing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Hey guys! Let's go swimming again!" Ikitsumi said excitedly to the group, then everyone jumped up and cheered, knowing swimming was perfect for the hot weather.

"It's been so long since we've gone swimming altogether!" Hitaru exclaimed happily.

"I've never been swimming," Marusha admitted, and then Ikitsumi smiled up at him.

"You'll be OK!" She assured him.

Ujani and Neko yowled “Noooo!”

"Yes!" Everyone else contradicted the two Demon cats.

"All right, let's go!" Ikitsumi said, dashing off to her room to try and be first.

"Aww, I lose again!" Ikitsumi sighed as she saw everyone else besides the cat Demons and Marusha then ran outside and leaped into the water, splashing Hitaru.

"Hey!" The Fallen Angel glared, then smiled and laughed. "Whoa!" He screamed as Marusha and Ikitsumi, who gave each other a high-five and hugged each other too, pushed him in.

"Someone drag the cats inside!" Ishu shrieked, and then InuSana pushed her down, laughing gleefully.

The next time Ikitsumi checked everyone; Toryu and Suzume were dragging in Ujani and Neko.

"Yay, we got the kitties!" Ryca squealed happily.

Pingin and Pingean were splashing each other with the cool water, then started pushing each other down into the water.

"Be nice!" Toryu said to Pingin as she dived in the water and looked at everyone out of boredom.

Pingean squawked and her face went deep red as Dingo pulled her under the water and hugged her tightly, smiling at her playfully as he poked her arm and let go, swimming a short distance away from her as she followed him.

"Marusha, come on!" Ikitsumi called to him, smiling brightly.

Marusha looked at her, feeling awkward as he stood there alone.

"Come on before I drag you in!" Ikitsumi crossed her arms, grinning. "All right, you asked for it!" She said after a minute, and then started swimming towards him.

"You can't get me!" Marusha stuck out his tongue, his Wings carrying him higher into the air.

"No fair!" Ikitsumi pouted, and then looked at him with her sad puppy-eyes, her bottom lip quivering.

"No!" Marusha groaned, and then landed back down, allowing Ikitsumi to drag him into the water. "This is nice," Marusha said, and then shivered in the water.

"Aww," Ikitsumi hugged him, kissing his cheek.

"Hey...Has anyone seen my sister?" Pingin asked, and then looked around.

"Where's Dingo?" InuSana asked, and then Toryu stuck her head under the water. A few seconds passed, and then she jumped out of the water, laughing hysterically.

"Toryu, what's going on?" Tojiri asked. "They're so cute!" Toryu replied in a shriek.

Out of the water, Pingean emerged, spluttering water from her mouth.

Dingo resurfaced, coughing for air.

"Hugs are so cute!" Toryu exclaimed, and then Dingo blushed as everyone glanced at him.

"Today was fun again!" Ikitsumi exclaimed.

"But the Trio wasn't here..." Hitaru contradicted, frowning.

"Some other time, Hitaru-nii...We might go swimming more often in this weather," Ikitsumi replied, shading her eyes from the sun.

Seikaku Chapter 25

On a warm spring day in Demon's Realm, Toryu came up to Ikitsumi with a troubled look on her face.

"Eh? What is it Toryu?" Ikitsumi asked, looking curiously at the bird-and-dragon Demon.

"Um...Suzume, Neko, Dingo, Pingin, Itachurai, the twins, and I all were outside when...well..." Toryu replied, and then motioned for Ikitsumi to come outside.

The whole group was surrounding something lying on the ground.

"Everyone clear the way!" Seikitsu called, running over and stopping at the sight.

There was an unconscious Spirit on the ground. It had lank brown hair and seemed Ikitsumi's height. The figure's eyes were slightly open so those vivid blue eyes were seen.

"What do we do Seikitsu?" Ikitsumi asked, looking at the Empress.

"Let's bring him inside," Marusha suggested. "How would you know if it were a he?" InuSana asked, and then Marusha pointed to the Spirit's facial features.

"Does the face look like a girl's face?" Marusha asked InuSana.

"Nopes," InuSana shook her head, sticking her tongue out playfully.

"Come on," Hitaru said, picking up the form with a little difficulty.

"For a Spirit...this thing is hard to pick up!" He exclaimed.

Everyone was inside Hitaru's room, watching the Spirit.

"He looks familiar..." Marusha muttered as he sat down in a chair.

"He really does," Hitaru cocked his head.

Suddenly, the figure smiled in a strange way.

"AAGH DEMIKU!" Hitaru and Marusha suddenly screamed at the top of their lungs, jumping up out of their seats.

"Huh?" InuSana asked, and then looked at the Spirit, which sat up.

"Heyas, how’re you doing, Maru and Hikaru! It’s been a long time!" The boy exclaimed with his eyes twinkling, and got glares from the two Angels.

"It's Hitaru, not Hikaru!" The Fallen Angel growled.

"I’m just playing!" Demiku laughed and grinned nervously.

"Do you all know each other?" Ikitsumi asked, looking at the three boys.

"Of course...He's one of my best buddies," Marusha said, smirking.

"Yus, and who is this?" Demiku exclaimed, asking Hitaru.

"This is Princess Ikitsumi...A.K.A. Marusha's girlfriend," Hitaru grinned, making Marusha blush.

Demiku grinned. "Oooh, shall I use my quote? Wait until their relationship progresses more and more until it gets to where they start having---"

Marusha then whacked Demiku across the head. "Now I know why we always fought, you perv," Marusha groaned.

"Not just a perv...a BIG perv," Demiku grinned, putting emphasis on 'big'.

Ikitsumi stared, backing away a little into Marusha's arms.

"He's scary," Ikitsumi whimpered.

"Well then, I guess I'll just be on my way now..." Demiku said in a singsong voice.

"Only come back when we say so," Hitaru muttered, rubbing his eyes.

"Alrighties, then, I’ll be popping in from time to time!" Demiku beamed then poofed into the air.

"Argh..." Marusha groaned, sitting on the bed with Ikitsumi still in his arms.

Hitaru teasingly pushed Marusha over so he was laying down, still holding Ikitsumi.

Everyone whooped and Marusha suddenly realized what happened. "Nothing like that is going on!" He burst out furiously, blushing as heavily as Ikitsumi as everyone ran out the door, laughing and cheering, Tojiri more so than the others.

Only Hitaru remained, and he grinned.

"Wipe it off your face," Marusha growled at Hitaru, who stuck out his tongue.

"That was awkward..." Ikitsumi sighed, the red disappearing from her face, and then she looked at Hitaru. "Can you please keep it a secret...what you saw the other day, Nii-chan?" Ikitsumi said to Hitaru, her silvery ears drooping flat against her head.

Hitaru stared at her, and then said "All right."

"Well, it seems that Tojiri isn't as depressed anymore...After all, he found humor in what happened," Marusha said to Ikitsumi, who nodded happily.

"I'm glad that he's not so down anymore... It really worried me, and now he might open up a little more to everyone," Ikitsumi smiled.

Seikaku Chapter 24

Back in Demon's Realm, Ikitsumi and Marusha were sitting side-by-side in Ikitsumi's room, staring out the window at the winter moon.

Marusha smiled and looked to his left at Ikitsumi, who gazed outside and hummed softly.

"Okizayu loves it," Ikitsumi muttered, and her inner wolf Seikaku screamed "Hecks yes!"

Marusha chuckled, putting his left arm around her shoulders and pulling her closer.

"Hey," Ikitsumi pouted, sticking her tongue out so that Marusha laughed. Ikitsumi smiled again, giggling.

"Silly..." Marusha rolled his eyes.

"I know I am...Well...that's Kitsumani," Ikitsumi said to him. Her inner fox Seikaku jumped around, laughing like her goofball self.

"And Inuaro...she's the last one, right?" Marusha asked Ikitsumi, who nodded.

"She's probably trembling at your touch," Ikitsumi giggled. She was right as her inner dog Seikaku was leaning against the wall for support, her face bright red.

"You have interesting Seikaku," Marusha commented.

Ikitsumi stuck out her tongue playfully.

Marusha smiled, and then let his right hand slowly touch her cheek.

Suddenly, Ikitsumi was acting like Inuaro now; her face was burning.

"You OK?" Marusha asked, frowning slightly.

"I am fine," Ikitsumi said, looking down.

"Just ignore your Personalities...for now," Marusha whispered to her, and she listened to him, her face returning to normal. Marusha slowly let his hand skim across her cheek to be sure she wouldn't overreact, and then he bent closer to her so that he could gaze into her eyes, resting his palm on her face softly. "I love you Ikitsumi," Marusha whispered, then allowed Ikitsumi to say "I love you too Marusha" before laying his lips on hers.

Ikitsumi slowly closed her eyes, tilting her head to his right. Inuaro shrieked and Kitsumani shivered and Okizayu fell down as Ikitsumi suddenly felt Marusha's tongue pushing softly on the top of her lips. In a sudden reaction, Ikitsumi's canines prodded his lip so that a bead of blood formed on his lip. She pulled away quickly, blushing heavily.

Marusha looked at her, blinking in a little confusion, then licked the tiny red dot away.

Ikitsumi was taken aback at his actions, then took a shaky breath and looked back up at him, her face still red.

"Did that catch you off guard?" Marusha asked, and the Demon Princess nodded.

"I'm sorry," Ikitsumi said.

"It isn’t too good the first time, eh?" Marusha asked, and Ikitsumi said

"Aye...I couldn't anticipate your actions..." She stared blankly at her hands.

"Sorry...Ikiyu-chan," Marusha apologized.

"It's OK...and that's a new nickname, isn't it?" Ikitsumi muttered just as:

"Hello?" A voice called through the door; it was Hitaru.

Ikitsumi and Marusha pulled away quickly, blushing. Marusha's face returned to normal and he crossed to the door, opening it.

"Bedtime," Hitaru said, then suddenly saw Ikitsumi. "Oh, there you are Ikitsumi!" Hitaru exclaimed, and then looked to Marusha again. "What’re you two doing right now?" He asked Marusha with a grin.

"Well...Ikitsumi likes the moon and all, so..." Marusha indicated the window.

"Right," Hitaru said in a short voice.

The two brothers from Angel's Realm stood in front of each other, and Ikitsumi could see a slight resemblance in their faces.

"Well...Night then, Ikitsumi," Hitaru said, leaving and closing the door.

"Yeah...I'd best be leaving;" Marusha said, then smiled and went back to Ikitsumi, sitting on the bed.

The Demon Princess smiled back at him, blushing. She allowed Marusha to cup her face in his hands and kiss her again. This time, Ikitsumi knew what to expect.

Marusha opened his mouth again, letting his tongue slide into her mouth to touch hers. Ikitsumi sighed in response, performing the same actions that he did. She wrapped her arms around him tightly, pulling herself as close to him as possible just as Marusha unfurled his Wings and put them around both of them, the music playing once again to cause emotion inside of Ikitsumi.

"I love you," Ikitsumi whispered, her lips still touching his lightly, moving against his as she spoke.

"I love you too;" he replied back in the same manner, and then he hugged her lovingly and stood up to leave for Hitaru's room.

The Fallen Angel was watching them through the window the whole time, snickering as he dashed back to his room.

"So, what did ya do?" Hitaru asked as Marusha entered the room yawning.

"Said good night to Ikitsumi," Marusha replied plainly, stretching.

"Is that blood I see on your lip?" Hitaru asked, narrowing his eyes at the speck that still remained from the tiny wound.

"Yeah it is...So?" Marusha replied, shrugging.

"It's hard to get answers from you;" Hitaru sighed, and then said "maybe I should rely on my memories." He closed his eyes, then said "You two were kissing...Ikitsumi wrapped her arms around you...And you put your Wings over both of you so no one could see you two making out," Hitaru smirked, chuckling lightly.

"Don't get any perverted ideas," Marusha bristled, then turned around and stomped off, muttering "I don't know how he and I are related..." and cursing, going to Ikitsumi's room.

"Eh...Marusha, what are you doing here?" Ikitsumi asked in surprise as he opened the door a little forcefully and closed it the same, groaning and slumping to the floor with his hand on his forehead. "Are you OK?" She asked, standing up and going to him to see what was wrong.

"Ikitsumi, can I stay here tonight?" Marusha asked, looking up at her.

"Um...sure," Ikitsumi said.

"My brother's really pissing me off right now, I can't be anywhere nearby him for a while," and Marusha shook his head, standing up.

"What happened?" Ikitsumi asked him, frowning.

"He saw what happened between us just a few minutes ago," Marusha sighed, going to the bed and taking off his shoes before climbing under the covers with a groan.

"Oh...I understand...You're just going through sibling rivalry," Ikitsumi giggled slightly, then waited until Marusha was asleep before changing her clothes and getting into the bed.

"Hehe...Guess Ikitsumi would know about his problems," Okizayu smirked. "Riiiiight," Kitsumani sang. "She's talking about Pingean, OK? Now can we just sleep?" Inuaro asked, rolling her eyes.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Inuaro was fast asleep as Kitsumani and Okizayu snickered mischievously.
Ikitsumi woke up the next morning, bathed in a mild light.
She turned to see Marusha laying there snoring.
"Silly," she giggled, then wrapped her arms around his waist, making him jerk up and hit his head on the headboard.
"Oh no, I'm sorry!" Ikitsumi asked, pulling her hands away.
"That startled me," Marusha commented, rubbing his forehead.
"Sorry," Ikitsumi hugged him, kissing his head.
"I feel better;" Marusha chortled, then kissed her cheek, stretching afterwards.
"Now then...If you're really like your brother..." She muttered softly, then got up and went to her dresser, pulling out some clothes. She grinned as she wondered what Marusha would do. Soon enough, she had put her hands on the bottom of her shirt when she heard a thump and she turned to look. On the floor was Marusha, blood dripping from his nose. "Sorry," Ikitsumi said, then changed her clothes in front of the unconscious Marusha.
Kitsumani cackled with Okizayu.
"Hey...Wake up, Maru-kun," Ikitsumi said to him, and then he stirred, opening his eyes only for his face to be cleaned with a steaming hot towel.
"Ow!" Marusha tried to pull away, but got his face cleaned.
"Heehee," Ikitsumi giggled as Marusha scowled.
"Don't do that," Marusha mumbled.
"I just wanted to see whether you were perverted like your brother or not," Ikitsumi said, hugging him and kissing his cheek.
"Come on, Seikitsu's gonna wonder where you are," Ikitsumi let go and pulled him up, staring at his height.
"Why do I have to be so short?" Okizayu wailed.
Seikaku Chapter 23
"Princess, I must visit Satire and Shiori to let them know of Hitaru's condition," Seikitsu came up, looking rather formal in her outfit.
"Shall we come, Empress?" Ikitsumi and Marusha asked in unison.
"If you would...And Hitaru as well," Seikitsu nodded, heading to the front doors of the castle.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Come on, let's go..." Marusha said to Ikitsumi and Hitaru, taking Ikitsumi's hand and leading the two to the front gates.

When the foursome reached Satire, Seikitsu gave him the formal handshake, and then sighed, letting Hitaru, Marusha, and Ikitsumi wander off while she corresponded with Satire and Shiori.

"This will upset them, you know," Marusha said to Hitaru and Ikitsumi.

"Aye...It will," Ikitsumi said sadly, then let Marusha kiss her nose gently and hug her. Ikitsumi stared down sadly.

"Nii-chan won't be the same ever again?" Kitsumani asked, ears drooping. "It’s obvious, you stupid fox!" Okizayu pulled whatever she could and started chasing Kitsumani with it, though a match probably couldn't do much to Kitsumani. "Calm down, you two..." Inuaro sighed, staring at Marusha through Ikitsumi's eyes.

"But I don't understand...How could this have happened?" Hitaru crossed his arms.

"Vampira took Pegusa over and drank out your memories," Ikitsumi said in a low voice, adding "that's an ability of any being that's part-Vampire of the Nether Realm."

Satire looked at Ikitsumi with an eyebrow raised. "Did you say Vampira?" He asked.

"Aye," Ikitsumi nodded, looking back at him.

"She's a half-leopard Demon, isn't she?" He asked the Princess. "Last time I saw her, she was," Ikitsumi nodded again.

"Your parents...Inami and Kitsumashita...They killed her father," he said, and Ikitsumi's heart raced. She hadn't heard the names of her parents in a long time.

Hitaru outstretched his red Wings, then flew off towards a large building, then disappeared in it.

"That's our home...Would you like to see it?" Marusha asked.

"If your father allows it," Ikitsumi said, and Marusha looked to Satire, who nodded.

Marusha took Ikitsumi's hand and led her into the large building. After walking, a room greeted Ikitsumi, one that made her gasp.

The snow-white walls were cast in beautiful candlelight, the dark crimson floor strewn with rose petals of deep scarlet. A silver door that led to a closet in one corner of the room shone as the flames from the candles twitched every once in a while, the handle of the door in the shape of a rose. There was a large sky-blue door that led to the main hall in another corner of the room. A large mahogany desk with a rolling chair made of the same mahogany took over another corner of the room; papers scattered across of the desktop. In the corner of the desk was a blue vase with two red roses protruding from the top, both of them with small but sharp thorns. Plant vines were clinging on the walls, some emerging from the bottom of a stained glass window with the image of a rose. A black satin couch lay in one side of the room, silk pillows of the same white tint of the walls on either side of the couch. Next to the couch was a large bookshelf full of empty sketchbooks and many notebooks. On the wall adjacent to the desk was a mirror with a frame of ebony roses and vines. On the next wall, there was a dresser made of chestnut-colored wood that held six drawers on the front and a door on either side of the dresser. In the last corner of the room was a four-poster satin bed of a garnet hue, veiled by a red gold canopy. Two pillows of a light maroon rested at the head of the bed. A nightstand held a silver heart-shaped analog clock with Roman numerals around it.

"It's beautiful, Marusha...This is your room?" Ikitsumi marveled, and Marusha shrugged sheepishly, nodding.

"It's nothing," he said, going to sit on the couch. He patted the spot next to him casually.

Ikitsumi sat down, staring around at her surroundings.

"Hey Marusha," Hitaru called, and then came in with a plushie. "This used to belong to you, right?" He grinned, and Marusha blushed furiously, glaring at Hitaru.

"It still belongs to me!" He growled, and then stomped to Hitaru, snatching the plushie and coming to sit back down next to Ikitsumi.

"Aww, this little dog plushie is so cute!" Ikitsumi squealed happily, taking it.

"I had a fox one and wolf one somewhere...I left them in Hitaru's room because I changed mine up...They'd stick out," Marusha grinned sheepishly, then left the room to go find the other two plushies.

"It was handmade," Ikitsumi muttered, examining the seams on the plushie.

A few minutes later, Marusha came back, clutching two more plushies.

"Oh, they're so cute!" Ikitsumi squeaked, staring at them in adoration.

"Mother made them when I was 4;" Marusha rubbed his head, "after I returned from Demon's Realm..."

"Hey wait, you told her about that?" Hitaru asked, crossing his arms.

"Yeah...probably yesterday actually," Marusha shrugged. Hitaru sighed, and then pulled his red Wings in.

"You're as strange as ever," Marusha shook his head, then picked up Ikitsumi, who yelped slightly, then set her in his lap, smiling.

"But I'll crush you if I sit in your lap for too long," Ikitsumi whimpered, putting a finger to her lips and staring at him for a few seconds. Then she suddenly kissed him lightly on the cheek.

Marusha's face went red, and then he chuckled.

Hitaru glanced over at the two, and then stuck his tongue out, wondering how long it would take Seikitsu to talk with his parents.

Seikaku Chapter 22

Let me stand in that swirling snow again
And stare into her eyes of bright gold.
Let me bring back her memory
Of what truly made me like this.
Let my Wings fly in that same silver snow
The silvery snow-white Wings
And let that tear fall from my cheek again.

"Ikitsumi...Has Hitaru ever mentioned me when he met you?" He asked her.

"Only when he mentioned him killing his mother," Ikitsumi replied.

"Then I suppose he never told you that I've...well..." Marusha sighed, hurt crossing his face again.

Ikitsumi leaned against him, holding his hands close to her face to feel the warmth.

"I had to escort Hitaru to another world, so I left him with four other Demons. I watched him go inside a castle and wanted a chance to come back to Demon Realm someday and see it once more...The first girl I'd ever seen...She seemed to realize I was there because she waved at me. I left a Feather behind; making sure it reached her hand, and I also communicated to her using dreams."

Ikitsumi's eyes snapped open wide as she reached underneath her hair and pulled out the single white Feather. She murmured "I knew I recognized you when we met in Angel's Realm."

"I didn't tell you because I thought you and Hitaru were close," Marusha mumbled.

"We were...But now that his memory is gone...I don't think it will ever be that way again," Ikitsumi said with a frown, staring at him sadly.

They were silent again for a minute, then unexpectedly:

"I love you."

The words came from Marusha's mouth, pure as the fresh snow after a blizzard, as pure as his home was.

Ikitsumi whirled around, her face bright red as she let go of his hands. Her eyes filled with tears again as she thought to herself.

"Please don't cry...It really hurts..." Marusha mumbled. "I'm an Angel, and my existence makes me intended to watch someone that's chosen for me in my heart...So please...Don't cry."

Ikitsumi sniffed and slowly turned around on her knees so their eyes were level.

"So it was you that protected me before," Ikitsumi murmured, a faint blush coming to her face. "You...you saved my life...Inuaro's life..."

"Yes," Marusha replied softly. "Most Angels are chosen to watch someone that they never grow close to, and I know I'm extremely lucky that I was destined to protect you," Marusha muttered.

"Hitaru was chosen before to do so," he started again, and Ikitsumi jumped, "but since he became a Fallen Angel, they gave that assignment to me. That's why I came before. I wanted to meet you...At least once."

"C'mon, c'mon, do it!" Okizayu's fists trembled. Kitsumani squealed happily, while Inuaro's face went bright red as she stared at Marusha.

"Marusha...I...I love you too." Ikitsumi said gently as she leaned over to Marusha, her right hand cupped his cheek, and her left hand sank in the snow. She softly closed her eyes and laid her lips on his as the Angel tilted his head to her right and opened his mouth a little, warming their first kiss.

Suddenly, it didn't seem so cold in the snow anymore in that hollow tree. The two were oblivious to everything except being close to each other as the blizzard raged on and stopped several hours later.

Sunlight shone on the two as the snow cleared mildly. Ikitsumi was asleep in Marusha's arms.

Marusha turned his head away from the light then opened his eyes. He looked down to see Ikitsumi fast asleep in his arms. "She looks peaceful," he thought with a smile. He held her close, kissing her cheek lightly before crawling out of the hollow with her sleeping form and flying back to the castle, humming some music silently.

"Where have you been?" Pingin demanded, glaring at Ikitsumi.

"We were worried about you!" Toryu snapped.

"Seikitsu was terrified..." Ishu shook her head.

"Why did you leave us?" Pingean wailed, making everyone clap their hands over their ears.

"The ordeal with Hitaru-nii losing his memory got to me! I'm sorry, I'm really, really sorry!" Ikitsumi's voice got higher and higher that started with the first "sorry".

"Lay off, guys," Marusha sighed, wrapping an arm around Ikitsumi.

Hitaru still looked slightly confused, being held by Pegusa. "So...I used to love Ikitsumi? It can't be...because...I feel like I've known Pegusa forever..."Hitaru muttered.

"Ikitsumi, if there was anyway that I could give him back his memory, I would, but I can't..." Pegusa said bitterly, clutching Hitaru.

Ikitsumi sighed, and then leaned against Marusha, holding his hand solemnly.

"Told you it'd happen sooner or later," Itachurai muttered to Ujani and Ryca, both of them nodding.

"You'll be fine," Marusha muttered in Ikitsumi's ear.

She nodded, allowing him to hold her close to him.

Tojiri looked extremely hurt, but pensive at the same time.

Seikaku Chapter 21

I'm pursuing you tonight
We don't have to tell the others
By the dawn and the sun's rise
Anywhere, my love for you is more than life itself.

Ikitsumi was on her bed again, crying again. A few days ago was when Okizayu attacked Hitaru.

"Ikitsumi, you need to calm down!" Neko said to her.

"It'll be OK," Suzume also added.

"It can't be that way forever;" Dingo interjected to Ikitsumi's cries.

"Hitaru lost his memories of our love! That stupid Vampira stole them and lodged them within Pegusa!" Ikitsumi clenched her pillow and tugged it so hard that it ripped, several faux feathers falling to the ground.

"L-let's leave her to do this for a while," Tojiri shrugged, and all the people in the room except Marusha left the room, closing the door and going to the other room, troubled.

"After 8 years of loving him...It's all lost love now..." Ikitsumi sniffed, her emotions taking over her.

"Please, you have to calm down," Marusha begged Ikitsumi.

"LEAVE ME ALONE!" Ikitsumi shrieked, jumping up and staring at him lividly with tears streaming furiously down her face.

A hurt expression suddenly crossed Marusha's face, and she thought she saw a tear form at his eye. "I thought you were different from other females," he muttered, then slowly crossed to the door, turning to look at Ikitsumi painfully. "I thought you would return my feelings," he said in a low voice to her, then opened the door and sighed. "Mother was the only one who gave me love...Not the woman you met, I mean the woman that Hitaru killed," Marusha continued in a low voice, averting his gaze from Ikitsumi's eyes. "I tried to find comfort in others, but no one gave me any...And now I see you're no different," he finished, giving Ikitsumi an angsty, depressed glance. All the past traces of his arrogant looks were gone now. "I might as well go home, seeing as I've done enough sightseeing," he added, then started walking out the door.

"Wait!" Ikitsumi pleaded weakly, and then looked down, her angry tears replaced by those of frustration and sadness. "Don't leave...I'm so sorry..." Ikitsumi sniffed, looking down and sitting. She buried her face in her hands and sobbed. "I'm so stupid...Marusha..." Ikitsumi whimpered, and then she suddenly jumped up, ran to the window, threw it open, and jumped out, landing in the snow below and running into the surrounding woods.

"IKITSUMI, DON’T!" Marusha bellowed, shock now on his face.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Ikitsumi, where are you?" Marusha's voice echoed across the grounds of the forest. As he trudged on, he heard a scream somewhere in the distance, much deeper in the forest. "That's Ikitsumi!" Marusha automatically knew, and kept walking on, gasping as his fingers went numb. He didn't know why he was following her, especially after how she made him feel right now. But he did want her to remember something before he left...if he did.
Ikitsumi's tears were frozen on her face as she swung her Kurokainu Whip at surrounding trees, slicing branches and oblivious to them falling on her and grazing her face and tearing at her clothes. "VAMPIRA, WHERE ARE YOU?" She screamed with a furious look on her face. "I'LL KILL YOU!" She yelled, venting all of her anger and mixed emotions towards the one whom actually caused them. She yelped, then dived into a the hollow of a still-standing tree just as a whole one she accidentally attacked fell over where she was standing seconds ago.
"IKITSUMI, ANSWER ME!" Marusha called out, rushing to where he heard a loud boom. He ran to the fallen tree on the ground. "Ikitsumi, where are you?" The Angel screamed, looking around. "IKITSUMI, CALL MY NAME!" He cried, and then he heard a barely audible voice call his name and whirled around, the wind blowing stronger.
Doors opening, she saw five boys at the door. Suddenly, it seemed there was a sixth figure there, simply standing but blending in with the snow.
"Marusha, don't leave me!" Ikitsumi pleaded, coughing as she remembered more dreams and memories.
As the five boys came in, she saw a faint outline of something resembling one of the boys. Seikitsu was closing the door, and Ikitsumi thought she saw a boy standing there, thinking that he was an Angel.
"Ikitsumi, I’m coming!" Marusha screamed a strong gust of wind ripping his Wings from their previous position. They quickly gained a blazing sheen so that they seemed to be silver. Marusha gasped in pain, a large tear forming at his one of his brilliant green eyes. He cursed, and then averted his gaze to Ikitsumi
With a solitary tear running down his cheek.
"Marusha, I’m coming!" Ikitsumi cried, running out of the hollow tree to drag him inside. She pulled him inside with her just as another tree branch landed exactly where he was a few seconds ago.
Marusha coughed and tried to curl his Wings back up.
"They're frozen..." He muttered, cursing.
"I-I'll help," Ikitsumi said, summoning Kitsumani's FoxFire and holding it near Marusha's Wings.
After a few minutes, he loosened them back and forth, sighing. "Thank you," he said, then curled up, shivering.
Ikitsumi sniffed, trembling herself. "I'm so sorry about that event earlier..." Ikitsumi muttered then split herself silently. Kitsumani automatically started a fire, Inuaro and Okizayu huddling together next to Marusha and Kitsumani.
"Apology accepted," Marusha murmured, looking at the Seikaku Trio.
"How long do you think we'll be here?" Okizayu asked grumpily.
"Judging by how severe this snow is, we'll be here for several more hours," Inuaro said in a muffled voice.
Kitsumani nodded.
A few more minutes passed, and then Marusha got up, sat behind Inuaro and Okizayu, and put his arms around them.
Ikitsumi yelped in surprise as the Trio suddenly reformed back. "How did you do that?" She demanded from Marusha, her heart racing.
"It's just an effect all Angels have on beings with multiple personalities;" Marusha shrugged, letting go.
"Wait! So the case with Nii-chan was...nothing but something...any Angel could do..." Inuaro muttered, eyes tearing.
"So there was nothing special between Hitaru-nii and I," Ikitsumi whispered.
"You two have a friendship...After all, you were one of my first friends," he said, and Ikitsumi looked up.
Yayness. IkiMaru-ness. -.-
Neways, I'm still playing I of the Dragon. I'm in Rockwood, my current quest is to destroy the magic circle making the SinisterWings too powerful, and I'm trying to destroy the nearby lairs first. I think that's a smarter strategy before I move over the entire landmass of Rockwood.
OK, rambling done.
