Illidan's Castle of Runes

A Site for Anime in English Letters

That's AnimeNfo.com, a web site providing information for a large number of anime. Or we should call it a database, as the site administrator declares. Though the pages are in English, technically, I don't feel like calling that English, since there are too many words that are spelled like English yet have their pronunciations and meanings in Japanese. I guess they sound weird to English native speakers who do not read Japanese. Just image reading words which are written like your mother tongue but pronounced in a total different way.

On the front page is a search engine with which you may quickly find the anime of your interest. For each anime it holds, there is information like 'catogary', 'year published', 'voice talents', etc. Though I can get information about anime from various web sites, each site has only limited information. This is the web site with the richest information I have ever seen. Although the info is in English, it will surely be of great help. What's more, I may learn something about the westerners' point of view towards anime as well as oriental culture (though engagers may be from all over the world, the majority should be from the United States, according to the comments left on that site).

This site also provides a list of 'top 200' anime.

Of them I only know a few. However, some series that I like very much are ranked up high on the list, such as '12 kokuki', 'Rurouni Kenshin - Reminiscence', 'Fullmetal Alchemist' and more.
