hi,i am a new member of this group.i know ,there is a threat o terrorism in the world.clash of civilizations.muslim against western civ.i m from slovakia.there are not many muslims living here.so about terrorism i can get news from tv or newspapers.

Well if you want to find out who Muslims really are, you have to ask them and live with them even if briefly.. since I appreciate you're in slovakia I would say: look at Islamic teachings, muslims as a whole and history rather than what the media throws at us, since politics is a corrupt proffession today things get confusing )!

what do you think?who killed bhenazir bhutto?Al qaeda?Taliboen?Western agents?

There is more than one problem to solve:

1) Every kind of people and peoples
should b e c o m e .. a place to live on this earth.
World policy should be able to achieve this with peaceful and complex strategies and by carrying on negotiations, like for instance:
"Y o u ..take 200.000 people into your area and therefore You will get this and that big benefit f r o m .. u s!

2) Hunger, thirst, freezing and extreme poverty
must be treated with complex social thinking
for the whole globe as a more important problem to overcome
than global earth-warming or ice-age to come!

3) Members of religions at all and so called
humanly "faith" in a unique transcendent God
need to be educated to a mature tolerant attitude
towards each others religion and to giving
intellectual and practical birth for
a more humanized religious profile
proportional to timely development:
Interreligious education beginning in kindergardens
and latest at groundschools as an obligation
is able to form and will be able to further produce
new offsprings into our globalized future civilization.

4) World's politicians should start N O W the interreligious education without loss of time.
Our real problem:
WE - especially in Europe - are losing out
in the solve of that all, because we are losing time!

well i am new member of this group also same to opera community. now i as a simple muslim from a quite peaceful muslim country bangladesh like to put some my thoughts on jona li's comment.jona my sister if ur wish is true thaen i want put my view concerning ur points

1)this talks that u write here is like a trick of old school anti islamist. dont be angry i will say why. "peaceful and complex strategies,carrying on negotiations" these things have been said for from the beggining of israeli state. but muslim get there nothing. so it is impossible for muslim who is aware of their situation to mesmerized with such talks.

2)i admitt that i belive that this piont is one of the root cause. but things r not simple. becuse it does not mean removing poverty hanger can resolve all issues.WHY:see most of the western world are educated but religious intollerence not less but higher in many places. like what hapeen in bosnia as messarce or france stoping muslimahs using hijab,etc.

3)i am an oppnent of such ideas these views. ieterreligious education never i think possible. it just a anither those so called advocate of humanity and those who oppose all religons and aliies tool to wipe out religons from peoples mind.

4)i say only use of own religious scriptures and their fruitfull explanation can change these issues noe any inter religious education

Let's come to our topic (islam and west) islam has a great history but after the prophet mohammed died. The muslim took this life as fun and they did'nt take it seiriously .we know muslims are divided to two sides sunni and shiah so the real war is between them not islam and west so first we have to solve the fight. between them .as i said that .i am also a muslim but i have lots of friends from diffrent religions,mainly christianity...among the christians also they have diffrent denominations but as i have observed they dont have any fights among them so i think we should also solve this problem of enenimity among the muslims as the conclusion is that we follow only one god....Allah.... We Christian people should know our own development starting off with divisons from the first decade after Christ continuosly, passing the Lutheran Reformation in 16th century and almost having overcome these kinds of troubles in today's Ireland. - We should not tolerate hatred among people of various faithes in God, yet we should be prone to understand persons being eager to take a stand for HIM, the eternal One.

People in Arabic speaking countries are primely guided by another culture in everyday's life:
How female persons present themselves with clothings, doing sports, and how they live independently even taking part in official societies make the big differences between "Islam" with its cultures in the oriental Middle East and "West" mostly Christian stamped in Europe.

We women - in Europe - have suffered for many generations until freedom in everyday's life was reached for us; therefore we won't make one step back into cultural suppression. Now - we are living freely choosing whether to submit our life to God and even choosing our style of spiritual submission or to have another life-philosophy.

The freedom to choose can be understood as a God given opportunity for all mankind: Freedom to choose - for every man and for every woman!

I am Muslim from Egypt. Our west is Libya, Muslim country. The thing, famous for "The West", is not Christian. It is atheist indeed. Pope of Rom John Paul II apologized about the crusade wars. Christians share Muslim their struggle against atheist code of morals which encourages sex salad "homosexuality, adultery & their results: (therapeutic = criminal) abortion and violations against gender determination". Judo-Christ-Atheistic Europeans massacred 50 million bodies in 2nd world war only. More than 10 times the number of killed persons because of Islam in its entire history. USA, I think is the only country which used nuclear weapons with cold blood and before this eradicated peoples of an entire continent. Of course you saw Guantanamo.

I am a "western christian" and want to defend my belief. But we must be true. Female circumcision and enforced marriage has nothing to do with Islam. And Jihad has been misused by fanatics. The meaning of the word is something most religious people could agree upon.

The talk goes on about different religions....Religion provides faith in people who follow them.....But what about the others....are they non-reliogeous or don't believe in religion????

I'm a Hindu and like all other religion has its history and also its strengths.

However, all religion goes up to one GOD....weather its Islam, Christianity or even the Hindus.....

The ones you worship are messengers of GOD....Prft Mohammed was a messenger of god to preach about Islam, Christ was a messenger of GOD to preach about Christianity...and the hundreds of Hindu gods are all messengers of GOD to preach about Hinduism....All religion preaches the strengths and faith they provide...but not the weakness of the religion....why???? Is it blind faith to say that the religion that you follow has no weaknesses?????

I would like to emphasize that the best religion is one that you believe in your self and seek advise from your respective religions....One gets too possessive about their religion rather than understanding the good faith the book provides.....Following a religion is good, however, extremists are the ones that take the religion to its extreme by saying that their religion is the best!!!!!

It is good and bad in man, and they causes good and bad in all religions. Please look up my blogs on these matters. I would especially appreciate a comment on hinduism and casteism, on which there has been a discussion on and off.

but i believe that Islam is wonderful religion because i know many religion and i have see by my self those people how follow those other religion the just still don't believe in god also
i don't say that other religion is wrong and anyone can choice any religion he/she they like. But what i mean that Islam teach us how to believe in god and make you believe what its written for you mean like your Destiny (Eg if your Destiny that you have to live unlucky man and your friend was always lucky so you always say my friend always lucky in everything you cant say like this its your Destiny to be like this
but as i saw anther religion some people don't believe in there fate or Destiny don't believe in god i don't know what life they are living its strange really i cant live there life
because life without god its not life because god gave you the Spirit of believing in what its right and what its wrong
i saw many people who don't believe in god that all the time look for some stupid believes like Vampire and other thinks what fuck when you say I'm Vampire its does not exist in this world don't watch so much of movies because vampire movies all are freak fucking shit movies make you forget who you are and what religion you follow and make you stop believe in god wow how came you people don't believe in god the one how make this earth make this life for you people to live stop believe in fucking shit does not exist and try to live the right life
