Private victory precedes public victory.

I like Stephen Covey's statement that private victory precedes public victory.
The reason I write about money and blogging results is to encourage others that it's possible to make a great living helping people and doing what you love. Most of the feedback I've gotten about that has been very positive. Since I've been a business owner most of my adult life, business has been a big part of my personal growth path, and it's silly to talk about business without reference to real-world results.
I used to think serving others and generating wealth were incongruent. I eventually realized that limiting belief was total nonsense, so I dumped it. The wealthier I am, the more capacity I have to serve others. Consider what Bill Gates and Warren Buffet are capable of doing with their billions. If they remained broke, they wouldn't be doing the world a favor.
There's no scarcity of money in the world. Money is created every day as a reflection of value. If you can create value, you can generate income in a way that adds to the world.
I understand that some people will ascribe nefarious motives to my attempts to generate more and more income. The wealth = evil belief is ubiquitous. Such beliefs have nothing to do with me though, especially when they come from people who've never even met me.
Money is simply a resource. I can do more with money than I can without it. As Earl Nightingale said, "Nothing can take the place of money in the area in which money works." Money can't buy happiness, and it won't solve all the world's problems, but with the right intentions it can do a lot of good. The more money I have, the more resources I can put into helping others.
My business income paid for the forum software we're using right now, and it pays for the monthly bandwidth. It bought the PC and the laptop I use to write articles. It keeps me financially stable and capable of posting hundreds of free articles without worrying about paying the bills. And that income will pay for many more improvements to this site over the years ahead.
What better reason to become wealthy than to funnel it back into growing and serving others? Wealth can also be used to generate even more wealth for others.
The fear of wealth serves no one.
