Deptford Mice, trilogies, Trilogy, books
...
OKAYYYYYYY XD
sorry it's taken me so long to get back with this final review (not that anyone cares, but not the point XD) --- with my HS freshman year currently upon us, i found myself at a lack of reading... in a desperate attempt to finish the book on this weekend of freedom, i found success and am now here with the third review in my deptfor mice trilogy reading.
in this final book of the trilogy, the mice eturn from fennnywolde to the Skirtings, where trouble is yet again amongst them. they've returned to winter... a season once looked forward to is now dreaded, as their food supply runs short due to the death of an elderly woman, and a lack of fire wood because of the strong snow outside. Jupiter has brought himself back through others thanks to the tragedies of the last book, and he's back stronger than ever at that.
in the book, i found myself in yet another incident of crying <:3 i know. call me a whimp, but
a. i like being emotional
b. it felt good to let it out
c. u really can't blame me because Jarvis is an amazing writer that MADE ME DO IT!!! XDDDDD
anyways, loved it. loved it loved it. like the other book notes before now, i'll wanr you that if you truly want to know the end and know what made me cry, just holler and message me.... (but don't literally holler because u might easily tick off someone near by ;P ) >>the book itself was much more different than the two before it. the characters have been scattered away from each other and throughout the book it gets a smidge harder and harder to follow beacuse u have to keep up with everyone's location and their priorities.
but over-all, like i said, it made me cry... if i had the time i'd read the books all over again!

Jarvis, Trilogy, books, mice
...
gwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!! XD i've been reading like crazy trying to finish these books before school starts... yesterday afternoon, i managed to finish Book 2, the Crystal Prison, while on a vacation day with my family.
this book takes the mice out to the country, where Audrey Brown must take care of a mad Akkikuyu in order to keep a bargain with the Starwife (an ancient old squirrel) so that her friend (& my fave character) Oswald, can live and survive through a terrible sickness he caught while running around in the sewers in book 1. grudgingly, she eventually goes, to Akkikuyu's delight. they go away to Twit's (a fieldmice and also another fave charrie of mine) field. a series of murders takes place and due to the foriegn mices' position, fingers all point to audrey. the end f course isn't about to be said in case there's anyone out there reading this that wants to actually read the book...
review: this book was just as good, if not better, than the first. the change of scenery definately compliments the characters and the personaliy changes in the original mice. i wanted so badly to give twit a hug in the end... [read and u'll know] -- it's easy to visualize everyone in the day or night, because of JArvis's great manner of detail once again. the end just about made me cry if you want to believe it....
again, a magnificent read by Jarvis!

rats, Deptford Mice, Jupiter, boredom
...
okay peoples! demmy got bored so she went to the bookshelf one night.... deciding what to read, i came accross a trilogy that i got when i was younger, but preiously could not understand the words. being a tad older now - and having acquired a more expanded vocabulary - i have finished the first book in the trilogy, The Dark Portal, and come to you with my recollection and review!
Okay, i just finished the book this morning. the book itself is about a bad of mice that go into the dreaded sewers underneath the Skirtings, where they live, first in search of tempted and lost family, then after a lost mousebrass that is sacred to one of the young mice. alas, different bands are seperated and ultimately suffer different horror in the sewers, their fear increasing with each rumor that they hear of Jupiter, the 'god' of the rats, of whom lives under the ground in a secret chamber. (of course, i call him a rat spirit for the sake of personal religious reason; but not the point...)
any-hoo, the book was magnificent. Jarvis, the author, has a great sense of vocabulary in this write, and has the reader wanting more and more. it is only confusing because of the many mice and rats involved together, but honestly, once you get used to the different characters you can catch up with ease. you definately form a sort of a bond with each character as you learn more about them...
my fave character was an albino rat, Oswald. he's a sickly poor little guy with a strong sense of justice but then lacks the phisical strength through most of the book. he endures a good deal of hardship but comes through in the end, helping his friend -a fellow mouse named audrey -to defeat Jupiter.
for the sake of saving the ending for other readers, i'm not about to say much more, but message me if you don't truly feel like reading the book and want to know the end.
just basically: i loved this book! it was fantastic and entertaining up until the very end, and i start book two today. i'll have a review on that soon enough, given the theory that the on-coming high school year doesn't get in the way...

can u believe the utter S**t i've gone through for the past week? not a half hour ago was the worst of it all.... ever since my mom broke up with her partner, they've been sneakin' around our part of town. given the fact that this dude live a decent half an hour away, you can't even tell me that they were around by accident. i mean really! THIS IS P*SS*NG ME OFF!!

that horse's rear had even watched me, according to mom!
THE STORY OF THE DAY: okay, i just got done watching about an hours worth of TV and i felt totally crappy, right? right. so then i go lookin' for mom to ask her what we were going to do for food this evenin'. (and yes, i do mean to type like this because when i get p*ss*e* i tend to break out in a southern accent of which no one in my family has any idea where it came from. (NO OFFENSE to people from southern states in america, it just happens)) -- but anyway, i couldn't find her so i figured she was at the coffee shop just down the street from our house. when i got there, my mom was a couple minutes from leaving. she'd been talking with the shop-owner, a friend of ours, and when i got there was about to walk out the door. as she finished our sentence, we turned to leave and when we reached the back steps there it was: the stalker. needless to say, stalker could just as well be an understatement. this person's been calling mom like three times a day (without answer, mind you) and knows where all of us are the majority of the time! they called mom when she got home from work, and then they ALSO knew that mom was at the coffee shop this evening..... note again SHE LIVES A HALF AN HOUR AWAY. so she wasn't there on accident.
of coarse, on this particular occasion, she saw me walking in the alley behind the house to the coffee shop to go and see my mother. given the fact that she hangs around A LOT and was aroudn my family long enough to know that me and my mom are very very close, she realized i was going to the shop to specifically see mom. she WATCHED me go in. when she called not fifteen minutes after the fact, she said she WAS watching me! what the F*c*, i may ask you?! WHAT THE F*C*?!?!?
sorry if i'm not speaking correctly... when i'm POed i can't think thus can't talk straight.... >>>.<<<

depression, dreams
i could sware the weirdest dreams on the entire stinking planet are drempt up in my wittle head.... i've come up with some seriously freaky stuff. but i mean bad freaky... not the good freaky that of which i use for my hyper-activity fuel when i've eaten sugar and no one is there to stop me......
BUT SERIOUSLY! i was depressed all morning because of this dream that i had last night. >.< i hate not being able to talk about it with people... it's just that sick! my friend on the bus this morning noticed i wasn't my usual happy self (as i usually am/at least APPEAR to be) --so she asked me what was wrong. this was the second morning in a row where i've been completely depressed. (the first morning an eight year old thought my sketch book was a coloring book and it had to undergo surgery so i could like.... clean it. -_- oh, the sorrow....) but anyhoo, this morning i was freaking out trying to find the meaning behind the dream that i had. i can't say much about it.... if someone directly asks me about it i couldn't even give them an outline. if someone stinking WATERBORTED me i wouldn't even tell..... oi chevava....
i hate it when these things happen. that dream... it's so... [insert word here describing the undescribable] i want to say twisted but even that can't do it. -_- eh......
if you're someone that talks to me regularly on this site then you know that it's not normal for me to be relatively calm, let alone depressed. so yeah.

FWAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA *coughs* ahem... err... yes. sunshine with a chance of rain further today with a 45% chance of rain!
bah.... today may have been a two hour delay but it felt longer than even the regular days 0-= the schedules at school have been seriously SCREWED since testing..... or rather... since at least three weeks ago. in the past three weeks, there has only been TWO normal days. two of them. and i think i'm going to bite someone; if not mehself... -_- coz u know i'm just that sane like that...
