It's My Birthday.....

And at 7:30pm........

I am sitting alone and listening to Janis Joplin's Kozmic Blues........ Well a ok so a bunch of Janis.... She seems to hit the spot tonight....


My sister bought me a cherry cheese cake and an electric skillet....... So now I can cook more things..... Which is good cause my budget was getting my tight on microwave foods....

Kids gave me a card handmade..... Will treasure that forever.......

A while ago, I added your Birthday to my Countdowns, but it didn't want to take. Now that I did that Reboot that I mentioned in your other Post, now your Birthday does show up there. yes

I'm also keeping an actual Birthday List on an MS Word Doc of the Birthdays I have in my Countdowns. I'm doing this because the MyOpera's way of doing that Countdowns thing is a bit quirky. The Countdowns go by Opera Headquarters time aka Norway time. Thus, it throws off slightly the actual day of the events for us over here in the USA. Like just recently, it was someone's Birthday on April 2nd. By sometime April 1st, our Countdown was already indicating 0 days till the event. Luckily I had earlier that week backtracked through some Posts to confirm that person's actual Birthday.

It's already been suggested to Opera to change the Countdowns' way of working to coincide with everyone's Local Time. But, you know how that goes. Suggestions have a way of taking a LOT of time to get implemented. The revamping of the Friends List functionality apparently took YEARS to be implemented.

Change always takes time....... sometimes more time than what is needed....
