if you don't know what clear QAM is well here you go.

QAM = Digital Cable

Clear QAM = HighDef and StanredDef digtal cable that is NOT encrypted IE: you don't need the Cable companies box you just need a TV with a clear QAM tuner or like me a Computer with a clear QAM tuner. Most Cable companies send out the local channels in clear QAM if your luck sometimes non local channels too.

Mostly newer TVs have a clear QAM tuner in them along side a ATSC ( Over the air HD ) tuner in the USA.

Some even have a port for a Cable card which decrypts channels like ESPN-HD or HBO-HD.

Window Media Center does support the Cable card / ATSC
MythTV on linux supports ClearQAM / ATSC / DSS ( satellite cards )

Comcast ( my local cable company ) took away two local channels that can't be encrypted or messed with and most be visible to all on any tier of cable from Limited ( no box ) to HD + sports +HBO + etc with box.

telling me I should not have clear QAM channels without using their BOX and the digital basic plan.

if they cut me off I'll just put up an antenna the local channels are free and over the air anyways.
I have cable cause i need an Internet connection it makes working from home easy when I need to.

I'm not stealing anything I'm paying for Limited cable... I can always drop Comcast and get Verizon FIOS and a good antenna.

I'm by an in door waterfall in the 3 story hotel that is very spread out and has a ton of land.
To my left is the pool and there is bar/grill there. Behind that I see mountains and blue sky.
I bets it's 105F like the day before. More people are out by the pool. Late 30s to 50s. Many Mature attractive women. They are younger and older people here too. The older people are most likely in the casino. Of $20 I walked away with $11, and left $1 winning ticket in my room. So I'll leave here with $10 less dollars. But it's not a big deal I was planning to burn the full 20.

I wonder how I could have an in door waterfall that could help cool the house in the summer I don't know if there is even away to do it but it is very relaxing. I don't know why I started writing just now.
Out of the corner of my right eye now and then I see some gorgeous business women walking past the waterfall to the bar or to the rooms or the conference area.

Yesterday I walked 1 mile in 105F weather. It was not humid and I felt find. One of the natives joked you must be from out of town cause no locals do that. The only people even crazier than me are the golfers. There is man made river that runs from the hotel to the casino. There is a slow motor boat the runs every now and then taking it is still faster than walking.

It's about 45 minutes since I started writing this is the most I have written in a while. I'm thinking about getting something to eat or drink but I'm not hungry or thirsty yet. I guess I'm on a roll. The only bad news I got this morning was that I'm now 207Lbs. 27Lbs more than I thought I was. I know I have more all over muscle but tummy/abs are a work in progress. If I just work out more in general and focus more on my tummy I should be able to go down a few pant sizes. I have gone down 1 size since the beginning of the summer. So I could have been over 220Lbs at one point.

A guess this is an indirect review of the Hotel/Resort. I have no idea how much the room I was in cost but with a Casino on the grounds and a new one opening up on the grounds in less than a month I think it's less you would expect. It is a very nice place. Laid-back, nice view, nice people working there.

I have 1 hours and 40 minutes up to 2 hours and 40 minutes to kill. Not sure what I'm going to do until my friend is out of his conference and ready for dinner before the flight. The bar by the pool has steam blowing like some places have out side a/c and fans blowing. It's a cool idea and it does help you stay cool. There is a little bird flying around on the inside. Business here must be jumping when it's not so hot outside. It is a dry heat which is easy to deal with. Wow that just killed 6 minutes. I better get back to reading that took up more time.

There is white women in her 40s or 50s smoking outside in the heat. This just … well you know.
Just very strange but that is what addiction is all about I guess. Wow those crazy golfers are still out there. There is little breeze I can see from the way the leaves more and the path in the air of the steam I can see.

I just finished reading a 50 pages Finance book called “Everything You Ever Really Needed to Know About Personal Finance On Just One Page ” … again I had to kill some time here in AZ. When you look at page one you might not get it but when you get to the end look at the first page again.
“Spend less than you earn” is the biggest thing but not my people even try to do that.
I figured out and did some of these thing over the last 5 years or so. I had $30,000 in debt and now I'm debt free. The 2 things I did that are not in the book are 1. I set a monthly budget outside of my bills an I can spend more than that. I pulled out $250 in cash on every pay check from my back if I had $50 left from the last time I was at the bank I only pulled out $200 but you get the idea. And 2. I use only the baskets at the super market. If you fill that up your out $40 to $70 , I avg $50 every other week. But if you get the cart you could easily hit $250 if your not that good at budgeting. I have about $500 every month taken out to pay the debt or about the same as my first car, 1998 Audi A4 Quattro 1.8L Turbo, plus all the money I spent on fixing it. Another piece of advice I have is if you don't have any credit history take your time paying off your car and not all at once even if you have the money this will help you out in the long run what you have to buy another car or even a house. It just should the bank that you can pay off a big loan IE should that you are responsible with money

It's about 3:50pm MST which seems to be the same as PST this time of the year. In about 5 hours I'm be in the Hollywood hills and I'll hopefully get to hang out with my friend that live north of there and family friends that I'm staying with for the weekend. I guess I should have taken more picture of this place but AZ is a bonus and I was planning to mean be in LA for a weekend. 2 pictures of AZ so far I might have more before the flight takes off for LA. I know I'll be taking pictures in LA. I didn't really think I could come up with 1000+ words or cover a page to fill a half a day of waiting around trying not to get bored. There are 2 reasons why I said yes to going on this trip. 1. I have never been to LA let-alone the Hollywood Hills and 2. my to see my friend that moved from Maryland to north of there. I wish my friend moves back to Maryland soon. I wonder if I still will look at California as a nice place to travel to but a bad place to live.

It's 4pm now and I'm wondering when my friends conference is over. I see curvy female in a black dress with black sun glasses walk by outside. I know it's still over 100F out there. The indoor waterfall flows in to a river that splits the lower siting area in half. There is a little bridge over it. The little river runs under the glass wall to the outside and flow along a walking path. Not really sure what I was going to write about at the start and I'm not sure where this Is even going but still I have my laptop out I'll write down what ever pops in my head I guess.

Normally by now I would be home from work not doing much of anything I guess thats way I'm 207 now. I really don't know what want to drink right now but I'm getting that feeling like I should go get a drink. No a feeling like I'm going to pass out but I have not eaten all day but I'm not really hungry. I guess I'll cut this for today as part one and start part 2 when I get to LA.
