About me

Retired US Navy veteran of thirteen years (medical out) in charge of 'Special Projects'. Systems engineer-analyst-integrator-what-have-you. I also have a degree in economics (econometrics, int'l development, int'l finance & investment) with additional foci on sociometrics, experimental modeling/design, as well as statistical and mathematical computing. I've also worked in medical research, epidemiological modeling, logistics, financial forecasting, aviation & shipboard firefighting/damage control, security, and as (emergency) helmsman-quartermaster-navigator. OR as I call it: 'Been there, done that, burned the t-shirt." I cook extremely well, according to others, and I love to clean the kitchen and do dishes for for relaxation. So I'm weird, but if you haven't figured that out by now....

My work

Nowadays I spend my time on various research projects of my own working beyond the bleeding edge of technology, not that this is anything new. That's my 'comfort-zone' strangely enough. Current projects include next generation virtualization, next-gen computer engineering (what others call architecture, a term I hate), future battle-systems, and implications of various GUTs. All of it cross-disciplinary in nature, of course.
