My subscriptions page is getting bigger and bigger this past week. Almost feel ashamed for not reading most of the new posts my friends produce. I have to catch up soon.
Being busy at work and jumping into the secrets of Linux in my spare time is one reason. The other reason is a "Bloggers Block". No ideas, no inspiration, nothing but easy little posting things got out of my hands. Nothing wrong with it, but I'm used to post more than that alone. More writing, more background information.
Ah, well, it will all come back in awhile I'm sure.
In the mean time I learned a lot like finally burn ISO files on CD and on Flashdrives and boot my computer with it. Tried a lot of Linux versions in live sessions and made decisions on which one to finally install on my old Delly Computer.
Even learned how to configure firewalls on Linux and use the Terminal. (well, the beginning)
Up till now I always used the Wubi installer within Windows and as a lot of people will know Windows doesn't really like that. Sooner or later you get problems, both on your Windows and the Linux. (like updating Linux to a new version)
To keep it short: now I have two old Dell computers running only Linux OS.
One with an Intel Celeron processor 512 MB memory 80 GB hard disc running Kubuntu 10.10.
The second one with an Intel Pentium4 processor 1280 MB memory 80 GB hard disc running Ubuntu 10.10 and moonOS4Neak on dual boot each having their own partition.
Both computers are behaving like a dream so I think I'm ready for the next few years.
OK, back to blogging again as soon as inspiration will stream back into my head again. Should not take that long!
