.....OEPS! IT'S ME

Hot is not the right word for it, it's extremely hot.
So I decided to jump on my bike and just get around in the area and the city. And then I came to a place I didn't see for more than about two years. Wow, everything has gone here. All new houses but built in an old dutch style. Funny how your own town surprises you this way.



And in the next photo an ordinary street with in the background the rapidly rising towers of our own little 'Manhattan' taking over the skyline of The Hague.


While I'm writing this post the temperature inside my house is still over 30 degrees celsius, but I don't care. I like it. Tomorrow another tropical day, yes!

Finally nine whole days free from work Now I can clean the house, now I can read a book, now I can post stories on my blogs, now I can go out and enjoy springtime. And I can do all those things because there's no money left for a short vacation. But who cares, we live in a beautiful area. You don't need money to walk on the beach and sit down somewhere eating your homemade sandwiches and drinking whatever you took with you.

Better save your money for the worse times where heading up to in this country with all the political and financial disasters. But I'm not complaining, we are still better off than a lot of other countries and people living in there.

We can walk in the city
Visit a theater or museum
Buy delicious food at this biological marketplace and eat it at home
Walk on the Clingendael Estate
Or just relax here right in the middle of town

What I mean is: don't hide behind your TV-set or computer putting your head full with sad and negative news all of the time. Go out and enjoy what you still have got.

Do you still wonder why I'm so happy to leave this city at least once a year?

This is only two steps from where I'm working now. And now it's quiet during these summer vacation months.
