I know, It's been a while since I last wrote to you.
If you're looking for me in Second Life as JayBee Thespian, I'm sorry, he does not exist anymore...
Had a hacker go in and do some things in e-mail, and I had to scrap everything. I did rescue JessieBelle Somersley before it wound up with the same fate.
My new name in SL is DJJayBee Resident. I intend to do some things to improve my wear and form in SL, and start being a more effective resident, as soon as I iron out some details called Education and work.

Anyone notice TV stations are saying "Happy Holidays" more than anything else?

You know, you get really tired of doing the same thing over and over and over...and you want to take your pricey laptop and line it up on a target range and just shoot the (*&^*&%^ out of it!
Well I did, until I did something crazy and rebuilt it again, this time with a different method...
I started to format it in the Recovery console of Windows XP. To my surprise, the problem that caused the format to stop at 25% was suddenly no more. It went to 29%...And could have gone higher if I left the thing alone. But, I was in need of a computer (because I was quickly learning that my Brother's computer was simply tooooo sloooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww) so I settled for that and quick formatted it the rest of the way (I know, I know, I'll pay for it in spades the next time around).
So far, 4 weeks have passed, I've run Phoenix Viewer, MetaBolt, and a few others in my External Hard Disk, and have come up with Joy that I have not crashed. I also have run this laptop nearly non-stop for about a week. Hasn't skipped a beat.
My Faith in Dell Computers is slowly regaining stature.
Now, Tell me a better system, or even a custom built system, and I'll take a look at it.
But, Nothing beats having your own computer to work with.
See you in Second Life!

How would you like to see a problem crop up again and again, and Linden Labs not to a thing about it?

My laptop has been giving me fits for several months, crashing and doing all sorts of weird things. So, this time, I installed Ubuntu Linux and I'm going to stay with it as long as possible. I'm going to re-learn how to work a computer with a new operating system (well technically, not new, as I've tried it on a few occasions and have reverted back to Windows since some software was running on it, like my Doppler Viewer I had purchased as a student at Jacksonville State).
EDIT 10/16/2010 Had to return to Windows due to the volume of software I couldn't run in Linux.
