Ottawan in Oslo

Thoughts that go through my brain...

First post ever...

Hei Hei,

Well, this is my first ever blog post here on MyOpera which is pretty sad since I've been working for Opera for over a year now. I've been mostly blogging here to keep my family and fiends back home in Ottawa, Canada updated on what's going on in my life.

Since I've been in Oslo, I've had many great times and one of them happened last month when I attended the Nordic Artic Challenge with my friend and colleague Espen. The Artic Challenge is a huge snowboarding competition that features the best in the world. The competition was amazing with most of the boarders flying over 6 meters in the air off the quarter pipe.

After the competition, there was an Akon concert at the same venue. Now, I'm not a Akon fan, but me and Espen stayed to watch the start of the show. It started with Akon's Dj who was constantly saying "Akon's in da house" over and over again. Which lead me to believe that maybe he wasn't "in da house" after all. Why would someone say that so many times? Yes, we get it, he is here... SHUT UP! Anyway, Akon finally made his way to the stage. The first words that came out of his mouth were "Wazzup Oslo? Anyone here from da ghetto?" Cleary Akon has no knowledge of Oslo and Norway in general. THERE ARE NO GHETTOS HERE!!! Espen and I left soon after those words left his mouth.

Enjoy more pics of the event in my photos section,

Hopefully it won't take me another year to post something on this blog.

Take Care,

Jason

Stupid amount of snow...

Hahahahaha, lol, that concert was hilarious... "Wazzup Ozlo!! Anyone from teh ghettoO!?". The funny thing was that he did this in Holmenkollen... Probably the richest neighbourhood in Norway with a bunch of 14-year olds screamin "YEAH!!!!".

...

Go Akon!
