Stupid amount of snow...

Hey all,
Winter is pretty much over here in Oslo but it seems that it is only starting in my hometown of Ottawa. This past weekend over 50cm of snow fell in the city. This has been the 2nd snowiest winter in Ottawa's history. About 407 cm (13.4 feet) of snow has fallen in the city so far this year, which approaches its seemingly invincible record of 445 cm, set in 1970-71. That is one thing that I do NOT miss about Ottawa. Don't get me wrong, I like a little snow at winter but that is just ridiculous!!!
My dad is sick of shoveling snow and he is thinking about investing in a snowblower. This made me wonder why the HELL would our ancestors say "This city would be a nice one in which we could settle down"? Oh well, it's my city and I love it snow or no snow. Ah, good old Canadian winters!!!
