For serious chocolate lovers

"1 cup heavy cream
4 ounces very best quality
bittersweet chocolate
1 tablespoon
superfine sugar
pinch salt
1 cup milk
Put the cream, chocolate, sugar and salt in a metal bowl over barely simmering water. When the cream is hot to the touch (but never boiling), gently whisk the chocolate until it is thoroughly mixed. Take teh bowl off the heat and whisk the mixture for 2 or 3 minutes. The mixture can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to one week, but don't add the milk until ready to serve. Then heat the milk (without boiling) and whisk in the chocolate mixture until it is hot and frothy. Serve immediately in demitasse cups. Serves 2 to 4."

Naomi # 25. March 2008, 15:52
Taking it as easy as I can. lol
Now for a confession- I snarfed a few chocolate chips as dessert after breakfast & will eat a few more to power up my workout.

I rationed the bag of chocolate mix I bought there for almost 2 years. It was only about $8 six years ago; I can't imagine what it would cost now with the falling dollar.

I SEE Ms. Angeliki as a restaurant owner. It just sounds right!
Hey, I'll be in the City in July and we'll have to get together and make sure their 'hot chocolate' is up to the standards of Naomis so I can bring back her recipes!!!

We have 3 days of cold weather here, and just when everything was starting to bloom, too. For Florida it's cold, anyway. 29 this morning and the same tonight and tomorrow.
Fireplace weather...again!!!

I am overwhelmed by your suggestion!
if I ever bought a place like Angelina's I would have loosen a tool that opens many doors for me. I love to keep my weight down!
No chocolate and pastry place for this lady!
It is a good thinking but a bad investment.
Real Estate in Europe with my dollar today, will buy me only a pot to piss in!
Naomi, after touching David you are craving chocolate! poor Jeff he must be sleeping with a smile in his face!
I did see Claudes video at your web site and I love it too!!
I see you able to buy Angelinas' very soon!
I am a proud friend!!

I hope I do hear all about a NYC summer from some one that has a good eye for things like you!
My summers are for adventures and I drink and absorb every single one of them!
Maybe one day we will meet at Angelina's!

I grew up in South Philly, Little Italy, which is a yearly trip, to keep in touch with everyone!
Life is hectic here right now, so my travel plans, for the most part, are on hold. I do look forward to seeing everyone, when I can.
It's great to travel to greet the seasons!!! There are only '2' here in Florida...cold/cool and very hot!!!!! We make the best of it! Florida is growing on me!!!
Hugs:)

I had an apt on the 19th floor in Hollywood Florida,
too many open places to enjoy,
now days I stay winters in NYC and summers I alternate btwn Greece and Pennsylvania.
I am still confused of what I will do with my life.
Still looking for something to shake me and make me see the future.I only live for the moment.
I love Philly.
My daughters god mother lives in West Chester Pa and works at Johnson and Johnson
Maybe we can get together there!! hugs again

I love the parks in West Chester, especially around the College.
Hey friend, if/when you find that 'something' that helps you figure out the future and all the rest of it...would you send it my way???
I could use all the help I can get!!!

"It's work that requires patience. It is like in life...something that is not worked for...if you try to get there right away..it won't work. It's very symbolic of existence."
Claude's video is fantastic! Just wonderful!!! He's awesome, isn't he?
I've forwarded this one to some friends, but most are already steady viewers/big fans of Culture Surfer!
Yes, it's a fabulous restaurant, I agree! I thought you may have stopped off there in your travels.
On my next trip over, I won't forget Angelina's Milk Chocolate Mix!!
Jill # 25. March 2008, 20:39
I love you, too Angeliki!

Claude did a great job on that video; hoping he gets online soon to receive the kudos.
I also thought Odile's philosophy was very cool & I am trying to keep it in mind.
Jill # 25. March 2008, 21:36
Looking forward to seeing Claude, too!
I loved listening to her while she was explaining and describing, because she says so much more than the ear can absorb...fascinating person!
