good morning Jill!
it is my dream that the new President can give a speech in a foreign country or in the USA and he/she won't make the papers as a joke!
I missed that for eight years now :frown:

JilleeBean 9. April 2008, 17:38

I know. What an embarrassment!!!! The man cannot complete a sentence, well, without sounding like an idiot. We are a laughing stock, as I talk with those from many countries and they share of their own revolutions and wonder why we have stood by and watched this and done...nothing!!!

Now, I have to get out of here...it's hard to leave here sometimes, hugh?

Places to go, people to torture!!!:yikes: :D

Love and Hugs:love:   :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:

ellinidata 9. April 2008, 18:23

  :star: :star: :star: :star: :star:
it's always good to be in a place with friends! Isn't it??
I love my Opera family

FXM256 13. April 2008, 01:35

 That's a funny video, Jillee! What an eloquent speaker W is; I foresee him making millions on the speaking circuit....NOT!

JilleeBean 13. April 2008, 23:41

Right...NOT! You know, Marcus, whenever I hear he's going to speak (so to speak...LOL) it just ruins TV for the rest of the night.
And, of course, the channel is changed immediately, so the networks ratings will not go up, because remember...TV watches US!!!:yikes:

And, some people don't know this, but along with everything else the FBI knows about us, they know what we watch on TV and then appropriately we are placed on a 'list' of ones to watch (watch list) who may overthrow the government!!!

Don't they know it's already been overthrown??

I'm glad you can laugh, as we all can because we need to keep SOME semblence of sanity/humor regarding this brain-dead human being.

Stay cool, Marcus!  :D

FXM256 14. April 2008, 03:32

 Wise words, Jillee! You're a very  lady!

oldephartte 14. April 2008, 03:35

I didn't forget you, Jillee. My hard drive toasted itself and I was away for a few days. Minimum huhu except for lost data. My bookmarks were online anyway. I won't talk much about GWB as my level of regard for him is subterranean. I think that is the worst speech I've heard from His Incoherency, though. I'm still not convinced he's not yanking everyone's chain.

JilleeBean 14. April 2008, 13:54

JilleeBean 14. April 2008, 14:24

Hi John! Good to see you and sorry to hear of your puter troubles. I am glad to hear you didn't lose alot that was important to you.

I've been pretty busy, too. And haven't been here much, except for a few minutes here and there. Very busy week ahead for me. Alot of changes and at a crossroads I didn't see coming, but all worked/is working out just fine. With life's many little surprises it does make for an interesting one!!

Bush has been yanking more than chains and has been long before he came to Washington. I think he's the real deal...his past has proven that. Everything he's ever touched, has turned to sh** and after knowing this, or let's just say, the 'ones' who actually voted for him, who obviously did no research before doing so, (and should have known this), are just as guilty for the state of our nation and I have no time or respect for these people.

So many people are stagnate in their thinking and have voted 'party' for so many years, that when someone comes along that is capable and has a chance of affecting change, these same people will continue to make it harder for the rest of us to live in the land of the free and the home of the brave, by continuing to vote party.:irked:

The old but true.."you can't get the fruit unless you go out on a limb" theory, is not practiced. We, as Americans, need to start practicing being good American citizens and it doesn't happen by placing a hand on a ballot every 4 years, it is a continuous involvement, and at every level.

OK, my political rantings for the day...(I think)

So, what have you been doing? How's work? Life? LOL

Catch you later, John!!  :hat:

oldephartte 14. April 2008, 16:39

Pretty quiet. One driver is expected to leave shortly, so a new one was hired - which left one to fix and put into service or wait a bit and see what developed. Which was lethargy at the repair shop getting the thing evaluated. Manyana.
I haven't picked up the link yet, but apparently Juan Cole summed up in alarming fashion at Informed Comment. Pale Rider sounded off in surprising and similar vein at BlueGirlRedState a few days ago. Short take : the country is now a dictatorship.

oldephartte 14. April 2008, 16:42

Whoops. One truck to fix - not driver !Homer: Doh!

 + +:coffee:

I_ArtMan 23. April 2008, 06:28

i always feel sorry for him. he's done a lot of damage. i can't help feeling he always meant well. he's not evil, he's just inept.

ellinidata 23. April 2008, 20:38

I never expect any body to give me more than he has to give,
unfortunately for the President Bush
he did show in his first 4 years of service
he has nothing more to give .
Americans voted him for another 4 years!
This must be an exhausting experience even for him!

I wanted to know if there are men out there with the name George Bush .

What are the effects of a name in their life ???

( I know....I get a kick out of many things  ).
This is one of them :

http://www.evilgeorge.net/

This man will be feeling better soon about his own name,
and when he is asked "What is your name??"
He will proudly say again
"George Bush ".

JilleeBean 27. April 2008, 06:33

Hello my Angeliki!!! I see you're not online, well, it's in the middle of the night and I'm just unwinding and thought I'd see if anyone else was awake.

Busy bee but good right now. How are you doing? What's new and exciting in your world?

Miss you!!flirt  :star:

JilleeBean 27. April 2008, 07:05

How's the new guy working out, John?

Hey, send me the links from your response...thanks!!!

ellinidata 27. April 2008, 13:09

Miss you too!! flirt  :star:
sorry, I missed you by seconds!!
I am an awl like you!
how is your precious princess??
we are all well, healthy and happy!!
many news to share in private, but for now just !!!

oldephartte 27. April 2008, 16:45

It looks as though we will end up in place for people to work well together as things "Go to Hell in a handbasket" as we have a good driver ( 68! ). A friend is starting an enterprise that should provide interesting work for a number of varied trucking jobs : obviously depending much on the speed of collapse, which I see as accelerating.
I had a heck of a time finding that post at Blue Girl - and found I had messed up. Pale Rider wasn't the poster.
http://bluegirlredmissouri.blogspot.com/2008/04/shadow-government.html
I've not had any luck isolating the other yet.

scorpio1168 13. May 2008, 03:15

I strongly dislike politics but must say that I respect your perspective. The fall of the Roman Empire revisited?

oldephartte 16. May 2008, 06:09

This go-round is special.
Force-multiplication ( energy weaponry ) is being developed, squandered and used to inflict 'scorched earth' damage on hapless victims. Such is the unequalness of 'contest' that rhetoric meant to deceive the people sending these agents of destruction forth has priority over any concept of 'strategy' : valid reporting techniques showing mass murder baldly might generate domestic unrest.
At the end of the day any one left faces a harsh fate.
Check out this link on poisoning Iraqi water ( Documents :Opit's Linkfest http://www.commondreams.org/views01/0808-07.htm ) and the section on Depleted Uranium at http://www.globalresearch.ca/ There was more on that at Booman Tribune.
Think of DU as a permanent "Agent Orange" which blows on the wind and respects no barriers : I trust the phrase 'nuclear half-life' makes clear the insanity of dispersing used nuclear fuel.

JilleeBean 2. June 2008, 04:43

Hey John! Missed our to and fro's!!! And I hope your friends new venture does work out for all involved.

I looked high and low for that post/response...I thought maybe I had the wrong address. I'll check this one out, thanks!
______________________________________________________________
Iraqi Water...I know, their a bunch of sociopaths/mass murderers. I've been staying current since the 70's and I do believe that the average American still has no idea of the atrocities that our government is capable of and the nightmare that millions have been living through due to a total breakdown in moral fiber that would constitute a heart and a conscience existing.

Take the most obvious example: The number of intelligent but politically ignorant people who thought Ronald Reagan was a good, decent man!?!? WRONG!!!! They must have over-looked that little matter of the $58.000.00 that insulted some of the greatest minds of that generation because of his own inability to see a different way of life as such, instead, branding human beings as 'sinful and evil'....yeah man, religion is sure great when they continue to use it to justify everything evil they've accomplished!!!

Take another blanantly obvious example...the Gulf War, and as we continue to turn a blind eye and a deaf ear to the suffering that is evident today, tomorrow....forever, what is very evident is the denials, one after another. The transference of responsibility (just pick a fall guy) as no one has ever been held accountable for the real life "Night of the Living Dead" forgotten victims and their suffering which is hidden in dark, un-named wards in no-name hospitals which used to be called..."Snake Pits."

And until Americans who claim to love their country actually get involved with educating themselves as to not only how, but who is running this show, instead of just showing up to vote and easing their conscience by thinking this constitutes the extent of their responsibility as American citizens; the stench of their lies will continue to choke the very spirit, the very foundation on which this great country was built.

I don't get it, John, the fact that people will invest more time and care into researching their options when choosing a worthless product than they do when choosing a leader who will best represent our country's interests and our children's and our grandchildren's future.

You think maybe our priorities are a tad misplaced????

An uncertain future, for sure. A future...I continue to hope for, for our generations to come. I fear that we will destroy ourselves while in the midst of these power struggles and while we're watching these control/war mongers organs grow, as they are nothing more than an extension of their warped and sick unhealthy, egos.

My political rantings for the night.

It sure was nice to see you here John, on my return!

Take care, buddy!!

I_ArtMan 2. June 2008, 17:47

"I don't get it, John, the fact that people will invest more time and care into researching their options when choosing a worthless product than they do when choosing a leader who will best represent our country's interests and our children's and our grandchildren's future."

good question.

oldephartte 3. June 2008, 02:22

Global Research.ca has a section on Depleted Uranium - not just a post. One year ago BooMan Tribune had a response to a query looking for links : the back-and-forth got lost in revision except on a fixed link at my old blog - now gone. ( I have a membership at BooMan's : one of many online site privileges. )
I'm losing track of the question, Jillee. Have a look at my links page ; my 'best posts' section should keep you busy for quite a while.
I Artman : The pervasive nature of social conditioning includes everything from education to social clubs and religion. It took a while to realize that.
'Canalization' is a condition where we do not look for answers outside our childhood preconceptions.Geezers are dangerous because they have a habit of tearing away the veneer and having a hard look at reality. Once one's kids are raised, social conditions they will encounter becomes more of a priority - and there is more knowledge and networking to enhance one's perceptions.
I'm on the road most weekdays now, so postings are erratic.

JilleeBean 9. June 2008, 07:08

Scorpio, I feel the same, you're not alone...LOL!!!

Thanks for commenting! Peace!

JilleeBean 9. June 2008, 07:16

I'm all over the place too, John, but I'll be sure to read those posts when time allows.

And, I agree that most if not all of us, should be thrown into a Ret Therapists Lair, at least once in our lifetime....cleanses the soul.
