We got moved in and I live it. I don't miss the 2.33 acres I had to mow at my old place, my son-in-law has that duty as my tenant!
We are slowly settling in and have gotten a lot done, but there is still a lot to do.
We had our first cookout last Sunday and it was great under my shade trees on a beautiful day.

I'm sitting home sick today, having left work yesterday at 1:00 pm with a fever.
It is supposed to be 70 deg today and 76 tomorrow so I hope I get to feeling better so I can enjoy it. Last weekend we has 12" of snow so it's quite a contrast (I love Tennessee!).
We have signed a contract to buy a house and the home inspector was supposed to have looked at it on Tuesday. I haven't heard anything back and really wish they would call me and let me know the status.
The house is only 10 yrs old, has 1,800 sq feet with 3 bedrooms upstairs and 1 bedroom downstairs. It has a whirlpool/jacuzzi in the master bath as well as a large shower. There is a 24 x 24 garage and I am excited since I have never had a garage! The interior is finished & painted well enough that if it had carpet it would be a nice room. Behind the garage is a really nice workshop area that is finished as well. I am going to take make the largest upstairs bedroom a den/computer room and my computer will be in the 'dormer' are overlooking the front yard. The best part is this house was a foreclosure and I am getting it for about $40,000 below what it is really worth!

Well, we made it through Thanksgiving and Christmas and it was really great to have both my girls here for both holidays!
Patience & Ellie loved all their gifts and I was really blessed with them being here.

Halloween went very well.
Since Jennifer now works to 6:00, Greg left a bit early with Patience to get a head start. Stacy & Brian brought my 3 girls over so I could see their costumes and they were, as usual, lovely.
After Jennifer got home she and I and Caron drove to Calvary Baptist Church to meet Greg & Patience. We got there to find the place packed; parking was a nightmare! After we found them, the three of them went into the neighborhoods and I took Caron out for supper.
Andy & Ellie arrived at 8:00 and she and Patience played together for a while.
Last night Jennifer & I took Patience to a "Fall Festival" at Sally's church and Patience had a very good time. We took her on a hayride that turned out to last almost an hour and the cold wind was a killer as we traveled about 40 MPH!!!

We took Patience & Ellie to "Kid's Fest" at the Jackson Fairgrounds and they had a blast. Stacy and the girls were supposed to be there but she called me at 10:00 (leaving time) saying that due to the death of a dog they couldn't go. It turned out for the best; I was very tired with just the two girls; having all five would have been really rough!

Jennifer has gotten a new job here in Jackson which means no more long drives into Lexington and no more working every Saturday & Sunday! She starts Monday and will be working in an air-conditioned office instead of a hot factory!
Today will be the first Saturday she hasn't had to work since they came home.

It's been a great week and Patience has settled down to life as part of my household. We took her to the Henderson County Fair on Thursday (9/11/08) and bought her a bracelet so she could ride all she wanted to. She had a really good time and rode several of the rides a lot of times.
Andy brought Ellie over Friday evening for a while then met Caron, Patience, & I at Burger King for lunch. Afterward he brought Ellie over here and stayed over 6 hours. The girls get along well although each is a bit jealous of the other over my attention. Ellie misses having me all to herself so I try to devote a lot of time to her.

Well, life is settling down to a new 'normal' as we enjoy having my daughter & her little family staying with us. They are actually 'living' in an 8x16 building out that back that used to be my workshop; it is fully finished including a tile floor and heat & air. Soon it will even have Direct TV!
Things are going well so far; none of us has gotten tired of the other so I guess we will survive. Greg has been super, he has already mowed my yard 3 times and has really spruced up the yard with his weed-eating and other yard work.

My daughter, granddaughter, and son-in-law moved back to Jackson!!!
For now they are living with me so I have plenty of time to make up for lost time with Patience.
The first week went very well and I've enjoyed my time with both Patience and Ellie. They love to play together and seem to get along great.

It's been less then a month since my last entry; I'm getting better!!
The weather has been in the 90's and I LOVE IT!! I've enjoyed my pool very much and even Stacy's girls have spent a few hours in it and had a ball. I got Ellie in it for the first time yesterday and she loved it as well.
