I international trophy of cantanhede

After Portugal O'meeting I started feeling my body quite strange. During the trip coming back home I started to feel my right leg a bit different...In fact it was a paresthesia, a sensation of tingling, pricking, or numbness of a person's skin with no apparent long-term physical effect, more generally known as the feeling of pins and needles or of a limb being "asleep". Then, in the morning I had the same sensation on my right arm and on the right side of my face.I got scared and after classes I talked to my neurology teacher.Neurological exam was ok, but the paresthesia was still there. He told me to do not drive, run or make any efforts because it was possible that, during orienteering races, I have done a disc herniation on cervival spine. Then I thought that it would be impossible to run on the weekend (international trophy of cantanhede)and if I really have a spine herniation maybe I have to go on surgery, stop trainning and so on...
Three days later I tryed my chance on a very good neurosurgion that works in S.joao (the hospital where I study). He told me that it was possible to run because I was recovering and probably it was a transitorial process but to try to be very careful.
As I really wanted to run I went to Cantanhede for trainning on friday and on saturday I was on the forest for racing! Althought I was not feeling 100% and that strange feeling on my leg and on my arm was still there and was very difficult for me to run fast..A huge mistake in the beginning and the weakness on the right side of my body were enough to do a really bad race. I got scared again and thought to do not run the long distance on sunday.
On the sunday morning I woked up very motivated and looking forward to run on forest! I decided to run part of the race, relaxed and enjoying the terrain. Then, as I was running the course I realised that my pace was ok and almost no mistakes, so i decided to do all the course! I ran relaxed and enjoyed a lot! Unfortunatly on the last part of the race I lost almost two minutes.I finished 11th !
By the way, I did a nuclear magnetic ressonance and my spine is ok:yes:
I'm back on trainning!!
