Impossible is nothing

Hej Sverige!

After a long time without writting here, it's time to tell you about my trainnings, competitions and also about faculty
Fortunatly between 8-13th May I had the chace to go to Sweeden for trainning and also competing in Gnesta with my new club OK KLEMMINGEN.It was extremelly good for me and I'm very happy that my chances to improve my orienteering have grown with that.I spent really nice time there, trainned a lot and also made new friends. It was a big challenge for me to run almost for the first time on that kind of terrain! (I had already been in sweeden in 2003 as second year beginer in orienteering).
I hope to go there again as soon as possible! Thank you very much OK KLEMMINGEN..you're so very welcoming people!

Last orienteering national competition in Portugal was the «4 Dias do Minho». It was on nice challeging terrain, very well prepared courses and 4days though competitions. First day I did nice middle distance beside a 3minute mistake and several small mistakes close the terrain.I was very challeging as it was on rocky, wide open area but very foggy too!!So you just can read the map and run trusting on it because beside being open area you couldn't see more than 50metes ahead.Nice race and I did the best time at elite class. Second day I didn't run because I had to study for the dermatology exam that excepted me two days next. Third day was held on very different area but extremely difficult. I think it is one of the most sweeden look like terrain in Portugal! I managed my race quite ok and my pace was very good for middle distance.I did the best time of all women competitors and, as it was the qualification race for the absolut national championship I got the last start time for the final. And sunday morning it was the final, on the same terrain. Unfortunatly I started very bad as some athletes stopped me asking where they were and I wasnt very focused. Then I did a very bad route choise loosing almost 2minutes. But the big mistake was when I forgot punching one control:eyes:After a long route choise I forgot one control and run immediatly for the next one. Then I realise the mistake but it was too late to could reach the top. I was second just running more 50 seconds than Raquel Costa, the winner of the championship. However I won the 4days competition

For now orienteering competitions in Portugal are over and I just go on trainning and racing at athletics. Last weekend I did my PB in 5000m: 19'47''.
This year faculty was almost perfect for me. I loved surgery and got the best mark of the med school this year;) Internal medicine , orthopedics, dermatology, radiology, therapeutics and neurology were some areas that I studied and finished very successfully with 17 in 20 possible maximum mark.
Next year a new challenge expects me as I'm going to study to Wroclaw during 6months.

Last week WMOC was held in Marinha Grande and I took part of the staff particulary at the medical assistance. It was such a great experience! It was the first time I could have orienteering and medicine at the same time! I worked a lot but also learned very much!I'm proud to had belong to a huge organisation as it was the one of the WMOC. By the way, it was also nice time for map trainning at Marinha Grande and compete at the Staff open race p: .Now I'm working on an article with my colegue of the medical assistance, about the first care giving at orienteering competitions and about what organisers should provide for orienteering competitions.

And finally I'm packing my bags for czech republic.Beside good feelings on last competitions I have no expectations for woc. I just did my homework and now its time to compete! Doing the best I can do is the main reason for be satisfied and happy! I'll try to writte a kind of diary here, about woc races and about the portuguese team:star:
