Check this out. There's a free on-line class about artificial intelligence by two professors from Stanford University: http://www.ai-class.com/
Apparently these two guys are really big players in this field of research. Already 91298 people have signed up so far... (usually they have a class of 200 students... wild O_o). Maybe I'll give it a try
