About me

Hello. My full name is Johnette Lane Ponder and I hail from the tiny town of Jonesboro in North/Central Louisiana. I am 5'6" and weigh (seriously) about 125lbs. I have gray eyes and black hair (Currently, blood-red and black, thanks to some seriously fly dye). I consider my tastes to be all things punk, art and music. I am a die-hard musical theatre fan and I worship film scores. I am not a religious freak nor do I affiliate myself with any church in any way, shape or form. That's not to say I don't respect religion, it's just not me. I am a fanatic for Star Wars and The Lord of the Rings, as well as the band My Chemical Romance. I am a classically trained singer and pianist and I attended Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana as an art major. I create mostly sculptural concept art (mostly dragons, gargoyles, etc.) and I draw portraits in mixed media. I own three swords, two rifles (30-06 and 30-30 respectively), nine knives of various make, one pistol and a 16-gauge shotgun. I play bass guitar, keyboard, clarinet, recorder, violin, dobro and some electric guitar. I consider myself a tomboy of sorts, yet totally feminine. I am somewhat goth. I am into artistic guys, preferably punk, and they must be absolutely like Star Wars to some extent. I love video games (FPSes like Rainbow Six 3 and Doom), horror movies, war movies...just about anything. I ABSOLUTELY HATE romantic comedies and I will rarely wear the color pink. I am anti-social to an extent, but not a freak. I have performed in Andrew Lloyd Webber's Jesus Christ Superstar (the highlight of my 'career', I guess). I am currently single and live with my grandparents. I love cars and I love to hunt (I know some people will freak about that) and to fish. I love (for whatever reason) the Danish language, and I have been trying to learn it. I have one sister and a half-sister and half-brother. My parents are divorced. I am a descendant of William the Conqueror and of King John (yes, the evil one) as well as the Gerards of France. I also have Native American ancestry from my mother's side. Last, but not least, I am an avid animal lover, believe it or not, and I have a pet orange cat named Hazel (a HE). I have previously owned several dogs (Squirrely, Chrissa and Curly), a lop-eared rabbit (Pandy) and a cockatiel (Pee-Wee).

My work

I work from home. Currently, I create customized wall murals that I design and apply myself, portraits in Prismacolor, caricatures, concept art and sculptures. I sing opera and musical theatre and I record my own compositions to CD.
