Here is such a nice video. It's called Animation vs. Animator and plays in the surroundings of the Windows XP desktop.
You will see a stickman fighting against the human user of the PC.

...at least this is in Germany. The payable quarterly (I hope, this is the right word) are public, but in my opinion this is no surprise.
1.) Opera was never a really good browser, if you look to the numbers. All the time, Opera has something between 2-3%, so who wonders that Opera has 2.7%?
2.) Firefox has overtaken Internet Explorer. Are you surprised? Everybody knows that Firefox will overtake Internet Explorer and in Germany, this happens.
3.) The boom of the browser Chrome is over. The reason could be that Chrome is not good at privacy or he has nothing, but speed.

So, how long will it take, until the rest of the world will take Firefox? And: If this happens, will Mozilla be as like as Microsoft? We will se...

I have made some changes in my blog.
1.) The picture at the top of the page is new. But I don't think, that this is a very good result. I hope I can find some time, to make it better.
2.) I have tried to change the background color, but it doesn't run. So, the next step is to make a put a picture there.
3.) In the sidebar, you will find for now a poll, so if you have some time, you can "fill this out".

Click this windows away and have a look onto your desktop. Do you think that your desktop could be even better? Maybe yes and I tell you, how you can get this. But keep in mind, that the system gets slower!

If your desktop looks like this, you should think about deleting some icons. But there is also an alternative: Fences. The idea of this program is simple: You make fields on your desktop, put some files in it and then your desktop could be clearer. You can compare it with a pasture for sheeps.
You think that your desktop in 2D is boring? Then take Bump Top 3D and your desktop has a third dimension. This program can make your desktop look like your desk, you can put pictures on a "wall", make piles with the icons or you can do something senseless: Throwing the icons around. A nice program, especially for Touchscreens.
You want some Apple on your Windows? Take RocketDock and you get a dock. This dock can replace your quick launch, if you want that. But the aspect, I found really good is the possibility to adapt the dock with skins and so on. So fell free for more style.
But often, a simple change of the background can change everything. The advantage is that the PC is as fast as before! Nice sites for wallpapers are in my photo album, deviantART and eWallpapers.

All in all, there are many possibilities for your desktop, but I choose the ones I find best. If you have another program/whatever which you find very important for that, then feel free to post it in a comment.

Yesterday, I wrote about Christmas, today I write about the first Advent. From today, you have to wait four weeks and then, Christmas is coming.
For now, I have a picture of the Santa Claus (self made). And what do you, to have an atmosphere which tells you that Christmas is coming?
