From an Opera-user to the world

[new version]There is just one company that could make the coincidence even better: Microsoft

, ,

Do you remember the times, when the contest was funny? Nobody cares whether Microsoft has a pre-installed Internet Explorer or not.

But then there was Opera Software ASA and the EU. Together, they want to reach one aim: No pre-installed Internet Explorer (I will hopefully start writing IE) anymore. A normal reaction of Microsoft was: No browser. But the EU wants more and so, Microsoft built the browser-choice. Now you can choose between 12 casual sorted browsers and do you know which Microsoft did? They made this coincidence even more casual. I don't know, how they made it (first, it doesn't interests me, because I have my favorite browser and second I don't like this browser-choice-thing. Later more), but they made it, because I have read this in more than one journal about electronic things.

But what is the browser-choice-windows (this is my translation of "Browserauswahlfenster"!)? This is the answer on any question you ask, it is one step to the worldwide peace and it is the reason of my senseless hyperbole. I don't like this window and do you know why? It is senseless. I don't hate Opera Software ASA for that, but do you go to a Audi merchant and buy an Audi, but it has to have the wheel of a Mercedes? You have no choice there, because you get it how Audi wants you to get it. There is nobody sitting at Mercedes and say: "Audi has to sell our wheels or the customers have to have the choice." Microsoft wants you to use IE, they have pre-installed it and where is the problem?
I think, many users who use IE will go on using IE, because they know this browser. Some maybe try new ones and others will use another, because their friends use it, but many will go on using IE. Many human beings are creatures of habit, they use which they know.

What I am sad about is that it's just Microsoft who has to do this. What about Apple? In my opinion, Apple is not a company with better conditions and privileges, though many Apple-users want it (this is, how I interpret things I have read on many forums). In fact, Apple is as like as Microsoft, but with another way of working and so on. But why does Apple has no browser-choice-window? I don't like that, because it is unfair (and the contest gets bad).

PS: I am not a friend of Apple (as I said before). I would prefer this to another company (no, not Microsoft), but in general I will avoid Apple. Keep that in mind!
