Baked Tofu Slices

Even though my husband is a westerner, he knows how to cook a lot of Asian Cuisine. We both are vegetarians, so it is not surprising that we have baked tofu often appearing on our dining table. I don't recall having experienced any baked tofu slices like my husband's before I came to the U.S. and have never actually hands-on done this myself. However, I do know the recipe by watching him making them at least a hundred times; sharing it here while I am snacking them might not be a bad idea.
Ingredients:
1. Super Firm Tofu
2. Salt
3. Fresh Grounded Black Pepper from Peppercorn
4. Organic Olive Oil (Extra Virgin)
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit
2. Slice tofu into thin pieces(about 1/3 inch thick). Be sure that those slices are not too thin, otherwise they will burn too easily.
3. Apply some olive oil, salt and black pepper all over the tofu slices in a baking pan.
4. Bake in preheated oven until the surface begins to turn golden, 6 to 8 minutes. Turn over each slice and bake another 6 to 8 minutes.
That's it. Nice and crispy baked tofu slices are ready for you to enjoy. It is excellent to go with salad greens, sandwiches or brown rice. Tonight, I just ate them straight without anything else. On a diet, ha!
