Understanding Spiritual Development

Many plants and minerals are available for both human as well as animal benefits. There is a school of thought that for every disease we find, right next to it, we find the cure in nature. Using human consciousness to create we find that human beings are open to growth. This is the important aspect to be considered.
Pierre Teilhard de Chardin: We are not a human being having a spiritual experience. We are a spiritual being having a human experience.
This sums up the spirituality inherent in human beings. We have it as a part of our very nature. We are body, mind, and spirit vibrating for the material existence on earth. When we quiet this material vibration we also find we have a finer level of being called spirit. And the mind can be a buzz of activity to allow it all to change and grow. For that, too, is human nature; to produce change and growth.
When we get so caught up in the material existence, we lose sight of the importance of the spirit within. We lost sight of the continuity of the spirit/soul following the death of the physical body. The physical body is designed and created to grow and age, and then decay when the spirit is removed.
Soul by definition is breath. When this breath of life is removed from the physical shell, no longer required for a material life, the physical body decays and the spirit carrying the soul goes into another vibration. If this vibration is available after the death of the physical body, it is also available while yet encased within the physical body.
To balance body, mind and spirit is a wonderful dance of energies that are in use by all aspects of human condition. To find this balance is to enhance all aspects. The material vibration for function on earth is obvious to us. The quieter spirit vibration eludes us until we make a concentrated effort to quiet the body and seek peace in the soul. As the mind governs all, it is available on all aspects for learning and growing.
When our life gets too caught up in the material pursuits - finding a job of work to support a lifestyle of quality, suplying a home for shelter for ourselves and our families, and putting food and clothes on our back - we can lose sight of the importance of the spirit within that is crying out for lessons of spirituality. Spirituality is enhanced within us by each and every lesson. So that even when we are caught up in material pursuits we can also know the moral, ethical and spiritual approaches that enhance our being. Lessons of life are learned at all levels of our being.
