Origin of caste system

The castesystem originated from the
vedas
.It's said USING the sriptures(Vedas) that a caste label(brahmin,kshatriya,vaish,kshudra) is assigned to a person according to his/her Occupational inclination.Note that it's NOT said that a person is given caste by his/her birth or according to the family s/he is born in.But the castesystem is turned into a rigid perverted system-if a person is BORN in the so called uppercaste brahmin (priest)family he/she is called a brahmin and if a person is born in a tailor's family he is called a low caste,in another words NOW a person is given caste by birth not by Occupation s/he choses for him/herself in the future.Only so called upper caste brahmin men had 100% reservation in education in the name of scriptures for centuries.(*)It's like only one man ran the race and said he came first bcoz of his merit.Even so called upper caste women didn't have the right to education.
Mahatma Jyotirao Phule
,a so called lowcaste (Mali,gardner),was the first to start a school for women.Both The castesystems, today's or vedic can't be called legitimate.In many countries in the world there are persons working as cobblers or shoemakers and tailors but they are not labeled using scriptures as lowcaste people.In psychology, occupational aptitude tests are taken but people are not given labels of low caste if they have good eye-hand coordination skills but aren't good in mathamatics.Science proves there's no one perticular intelligence but there are
Multiple Intelligences
, that means each and every person is intelligent,there's no need to humiliate people giving low caste-label if they do a manual work.Indian people are enslaved and ruled for centuries because Indian society was never able to unite in the true sense due to this perverted castesystem.The economic progress in India is useless if Indian society always remains fragmented and vulnerable due to this perverted castesystem.
Even today
in many Indian villages people are denied water,forced to live outside the village boundries,not alowed to enter temples in the name of lowcaste.People are killed in
the villages and cities
if they do so called intercaste marriage,anticonversion acts are passed to ristrict the people who want to convert to a casteless religion(but castesystem is not abolished if they want people not to convert)Indians abroad strongly opposed when Shilpa Shetty an Indian actress faced racism in the TV show Big Brother in UK.The irony is they themsevles follow inhuman caste system in India.
Atrocities
done in the name of caste are often deliberately ignored by Indian police and media.We can't continue inhuman traditions in the Name of Culture.Unless India realises the most recent scientific study,

proves that there's only one true caste,creed,race,religion of all humankind in the world i.e.Homosapien, there will always be conflict in India bcoz of these manmade discriminations like caste,creed,race,religion.Real God must've damned those who created the caste system in India. People earn their livelyhood using the scientific knowledge and the technology produced by the scientific viewpoint.Now we know that scientifically there's no such thing as multiple races of humankind there's only one true race of all humankind in the world i.e. Homosapien.Now we'll have to realize this fact and abolish the perverted caste system. Everybody makes mistakes.But continuing the same mistake is a fatal mistake.Having the courage to accept that we have done a mistake and making sure that we don't do the same mistake again is the way to undo that has been done.

from one homo sapien to another... your passion to abolish the caste system is inspiring. don't ever give up. helping to enlighten other minds is a noble task and makes you a friend to all the world.

i know from my reading that the power elite in india claims that even a shudra might by merit become a brahmin. but we all know that such a case is so rare as to be a ridiculous arguement in favor of castes.

the republicans in the united states make a similar untenable argument in favor of the rich and powerful... they say " we live in a 'free society'; anyone who wishes can become anything they wish by desire combined with hard work." this is just a ruse... a carrot in front of so many donkeys who are encouraged to dream of success which never comes. this creates a society of dreaming slaves... which is their intention.

Actually I am an Indian by ethinicity but I am 4th generation Malaysian and I didn't realise the gravity of the so -called caste system until I was in India doing my engineering in REC Warangal, even then I didn't know what it was. Now I'm back in Hyderabad on a project for my company, been here for 5 years, I do read and watch what is happening to the so-called low caste people, how they are tortured and discrimated in the villages by the high caste landlords...and you actually have bonded labourers even in this age and time. I think we are humans first, then we are what we are after that. And by the look of it, I think it is an uphill task to undo the caste system that has creeped into the very fabric of the society. As long as the Government classifies you based on your caste for education, jobs and other things..how are you going to change? Is this really what the Vedas have told us.......or is just an interpration of those who want to control others who were not educated at that time.

In Malaysia we move freely with one another and we are all Malaysian Indians to the rest of the Malaysians and there is no segregation based on caste.......as most of the younger generation don't even know what it is and what the significance of it (Ignorance is bliss).

I believe that help should be given based on economic factors......you can be a brahmin.....but if you are poor, then you need to be uplifted, like a person of a lower caste who is rich, should not be expecting any doles from the Government.

You are only looking at the caste system, but what about the factors of discrimination based on religious grounds? I guess it is a never ending saga..............

Thank you Sukku for ur valuable comments.You are fortunate that you live in a caste prejudice free society.I agree reservation should be based on economic criteria and not on caste.So that people won't need to mention any humiliating caste lable that were given to them centuries ago by those who wanted to live previlaged lives opressing others.If caste based reservations r not accepted people will gradually forget these humiliating caste lables and be united as humanbeings.Scientifically also it's proven that there's only one caste,creed,race of all humanbeings i.e.Homosapien,despite of superficial physical differences.You'll understand what I'm saying on one condition that you plz read the related articles in the Science post in my blog.You know that there's no physical difference in the people of so called high castes and low caste people in India,light colored and dark colored people are found in so called low caste and high caste people also.If the theory of Karma(deeds) is believed then what you'll call the humans whose deeds (karma) in the present life is to exploite, discriminate and inflict atrocities on the other humans?I'm against discrimination in the name of religions also,religions are created to worship God and NOT to terrorize,discriminate,wage crusades and divide humankind in His name.

I totally agree with you even though sometimes I emphatize with the suppressed lot.........because when I put myself in their shoes.....I know how it is.........even thou' I have not really been discrimated but I can feel it in my bones.
