Lyon

So, this is the deal. One year in Lyon, France, with scholarships, the chance to really learn the language or stay here in Göteborg to finish up my studies. Perhaps a fairly easy decision to make but I'm still freakin' torn about it... Suggestions anyone? I know it's an once-in-a-lifetime opportunaty but still, one year? in France??

Hey there smile
I suppose u didn't mean exactly me when asking this question but by chance I came by and decided to leave a reply. Hope u don't mind smile
So, here's my point of view. Once I got the same opportunity - one year abroad, scholarship and so on, or to stay in my hometown and finish my studies. I went abroad... I had the best and the worst time of my life at the same time. But I don't regret it at all. I learned the language (the country is Hungary), after that I came back and finished my studies - so actually I didn't miss anything smile It was damn hard to be one year abroad alone, but to me it was worth it.
My advice (without knowing u or the situation at all) - go and have loooooots of fun happy cheers

I'm glad I can help. Because u know, to have some experience is not good enough - it's precious only if u can share it with other people.
So - when are u leaving for Lyon? Or this is one of those questions that need longer time to solve and to answer wink ?
Actually I always wanted to go to Lyon (fell in love with a guy from there once) - I was in Paris this summer, it was really great but I couldn't make it to Lyon and I'm still sorry about that sad Maybe next time smile U'll tell me later if it's worth it smile

I'm probably going to Lyon in the beginning of September but I'll spend part of the summer, i.e. half of July and August, in France biking the atlantic coast. That'll be awsome! I really hope Lyon is a great place to be because I've already spent half a year in Bordeaux and I've got mixed feeling about it... Like you said, the best and at the same the worst time of my life. Even though it's the good moments I remember now!
