... there was no warm water in my hostel in Bucharest this morning, and the five Romanian football fans I shared my dorm with were quite noisy last night. Since I'm leaving for Budapest by a night train today, I really get the taste of packpacking straight away: no shower for two days...

My flight to Bucharest will leave today at 5 pm. I'm nearly packed and happy to say my backpack will only be half full. It's not like I'm going trekking in Nepal or anything, so the achievement isn't that extraordinary, though (and I'll probably end up buying some stuff when I'm there).
It's something like 30 centigrades in Bucharest these days. I hate it when it's too hot, but better that than this chilly and damp Finnish early summer; and better the dark Southern European nights than these light summer nights in Finland that make it impossible to sleep for more than five to six hours a night. The best part of the Finnish summer will still be ahead when I return.

This is the life I feel like home in - the life in which I don't have a home to live in

I just decided not to stress about the vacation. I'll fly somewhere and hang around for a few weeks. No plans, no pressure. That's the real point of traveling, isn't it?!

In June and July I'll have one whole month and a fair amount of money to spend on traveling. I have too many ideas how to use them - I could use some tips.
1) Fly to Warsaw, travel only in Poland, Slovakia and Czech Republic. It's a safe bet, I've been there before and know where I want to go (the Tatras, of course, and south of Czech). Fly back from Prague or Warsaw, depending on ticket prices. The cheapest and easiest, and most unexciting option.
2) Fly to Vienna and decide there (or maybe beforehand...) whether to go to Slovakia, Poland and Czech, or to go south to Slovenia and Croatia, and come back via Bosnia&Herzegovina, Serbia&Montenegro, Romania and Hungary. The problem is, I have no idea where to go in Romania and if it makes any sense to go there if you don't have a whole month to spend only there.
3) Fly to Rome, go to Croatia via Bari and head north / northeast until I run out of money and / or energy. It's safe to say that on this trip I would run out of money well before Gdansk.
Might be leaning towards option no 2 at the moment... Maybe.
