What am I thankful for? Hmmmmm.... I have been through so much these past three years. Here I sit trying to imagine what I could possibly be thankful for!!! I am looking into the other room at my son. I am very thankful for him! I do not know how but he has pulled himself out of our family "hell" and is doing quite well. He has a 4.0 GPA at Eastern. I don't know how! He went from driving a brand new Hummer to driving a death trap to driving a car with no heat and the engine light on. Does he ever complain? NO! I don't know how he doesn't! He always finds time to chat with his little sister who has been through the same hell. He is very protective of me. He has had to completely grow up without stopping. He has had to "man up". He has does all this and "I DON'T KNOW HOW"!
I am also thankful for my freedom from that hell! It was a freedom that was mine and I took it! Again, I don't know how! I cannot be bought or owned. I would rather eat bugs and kiss Jason! I guess I am also thankful for my humor. Without that, I would be in the bottom of my pond right now. The kids and I just laugh at how poor we are. I am laughing right now! I don't know how!
I wish I could say that I'm thankful for my new job. I do not have one YET though. Just when I thought I was safe and he could never hurt me again - he did! I thought I would be okay but he lost his job and went to jail and now - I don't know how we will be OK!
Actually, I do! I am a fighter! I am STRONG! I have been through WAY worse than this in my life. In fact, my son wrote a paper once and it said "If my Mom wrote a book about her life it would be misfiled in the fiction section". I am not giving up! I never have and I never will! So take that world! You may knock me down but I'm getting up swinging! Everyone knows how hard I can hit too! hehe
OK, I feel better now just from venting on here. This is pretty cool. I guess I am thankful even for this blog! It is my free therapy! LOL
Time to "woman up" and get my Thanksgiving head on. I don't even have a turkey yet! LOL I can't wait to smell it all cooking while the kids and I sit in our jammies all day and watch "House"!
