On Many Subjects

My dear friend,
Yes, there are lots of people out there and I'm sure they look at what you write and the things you say and I have no doubt they are rewarded by what they read on your pages. It is, perhaps, a truism in Life that we seldom get our just desserts for the good and noble and honourable and postive creative things that we do but we usually get judged very quickly if we err in any way through our own humanity and our fallibility. I had not written my own blog for a hundred days. There were (are) things happening beyond this 'blog world' that were (are) more important in the sum of my life. But when I was able to scribe again (and I am not able to do this as often, at this time, as I once did) I was struck by the immense goodwill and caring memories of those (including yourself) who had not forgotten my poor writing.
I am not attempting to in anyway eulogise my own blog (God forbid!) but am attempting to tell you that your friends are still out there and I am sure that they read and enjoy your blog for its intrinsic value (proven many times, Quod Erat Demonstrandum) and the effect it has had (still has) on their day to day lives. I urge you not to feel 'down' about the seeming absence of visitors. They, We, all of Us (including your valued self) are held hostage to the vagaries of fortune and misfortune.
You will never be without readers, even if they are `silent`. Perhaps they are "silent" now for some temporary reason.... but they care about you and this has been demonstrated and it is one of the factors that places your blog among the topmost "most visited".
I hope my few words of assurance help you to know that OC and your true friends care about you and what you write and that you are a very popular and well read writer here.
