Not the Cause of Death

No one ever died from sleeping in an unmade bed. My mother would make me remake the bed after I did it because there was wrinkle in the spread or the blanket was on crooked. I slept in an unmade last night and survived. I even slept well.
And No, I didn't start a blog just to make my mom cry.
But, some lessons don't go away. I made my bed this morning.

My mom always did the same
Maybe there's a universal principle that links all of our moms in this regard?
And if some one now posts to say their mom never did/does this then I will use the 'get-out' clause that says "the exception proves the rule"

I think there must be. In fact, I make my bed most mornings... it is a rare morning that I do not and I always feel guilty when I don't. Not guilty enough to make me never do it, rather guilty enough to make me think about it.

My mom's big thing was speaking well - correct english and proper grammar - and she has me and my brother completely trained.
