    A 2 day trip organized by the college - One day to Raichur Thermal Plant (RTP) and the second day in Hampi, a UNESCO world heritage site.

    There's just a few pictures of RTP because cameras were not allowed inside (It's a high securtiy installation).

    Hampi is a village in northern Karnataka state, India. The name is derived from Pampa, which is the old name of the Tungabhadra River on whose banks the city is built. Hampi is located within the ruins of Vijayanagara, the former capital of the Vijayanagara empire. Possibly predating the city of Vijayanagara, this village continues to be an important religious centre, housing the Virupaksha Temple. The village of Hampi contains several other monuments belonging to the old city. The Vijayanagara ruins are listed as the Group of Monuments at Hampi as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

    Very Hot and luckily we had a beach to cool us. For the adventurerous there's Water Sports, Hiking in the lush forest hills. For the religious there's a huge Shiva Idol and for the lazy, the room has Cable TV!!

    A wonderful trip during the Diwali Vacations. For a change, we had great weather in Yercaud with it being very cool (atleast according to Indian Standards with the temperature hovering at about 15 deg celcius).

    Shivasamundaram is a waterfall near Mysore.During the monsoon season the Cauvery is in full flow and hence the waterfall in in full glory.We could hear the roar of rushing water nearly a kilometer away.A brilliant sight.
    Wonderla, the amusement park near Bangalore, I visited again and this time got more picture.
