PainterWoman Sunday, March 29, 2009 6:10:28 AM

bigeyes These are funny, clever and very creative. My favorite one is the face on the potato....11th one down. I thought it was an apple at first then realized it was a potato the second look.

L2D2 Sunday, March 29, 2009 6:10:59 AM

Thought it was pretty neat. Do you have trouble getting to sleep Carol?sad

Dacotah Sunday, March 29, 2009 6:19:46 AM

Yes I do. Have been having trouble sleeping for 25 years now. sad

L2D2 Sunday, March 29, 2009 7:27:20 AM

I'm a night owl. I go to sleep anywhere from 3-6 a.m., then don't get up till 1or2. I have had insomnia for as far back as I can remember. I do good to sleep two hours at a time. Wake up, sleep couple more hours, and on and on. Some nights I never go to sleep at all except for maybe a few catnaps. Hate it. I get more tired working at going to sleep than I would if I didn't even bother. I really hate it, but probably won't change at this late date. I take a benadryl when I go to bed to make me drowsy. Works sometimes, sometimes not.down

I enjoyed these pics so much, LOL. Gosh, you're page is so much fun. yes up

You're page is love

Dacotah Sunday, March 29, 2009 12:27:54 PM

Linda, I don't go to sleep like you, anywhere between 2 and 5 for me. I sleep for 2 may-be 3 if I'm lucky than go back to sleep around 9 or 10 am and sleep a couple more hours. It sucks. Do you drink coffee or pop alot?
I think my pop drinking might be causing me to stay awake. I use to work the 11 pm til 7 am shift. As a kid I liked staying up late too. Don't care for morings 6am -noon. bigsmile

L2D2 Sunday, March 29, 2009 6:26:03 PM

I worked late evening last several years and can't get over it. Always liked to stay up though. I went to bed at 5 this a.m. got up 1 p.m. woke up several times between 5 and 1. Would have made a good vampire!lol

L2D2 Sunday, March 29, 2009 6:27:04 PM

Thank you Honey. I like to put fun things on here.bigsmile

SummerAngel Sunday, March 29, 2009 8:30:08 PM

I like the butterfly apple and the dolphin banana best. Wish I was this creative. wink

Dacotah Sunday, March 29, 2009 10:27:44 PM

I would of made a good vampire too. lol Even as a kid I was a night owl. Hated the morning hours of 6am til noon. Still do. bigsmile

L2D2 Sunday, March 29, 2009 10:51:51 PM

Thank you Annette. I wish I were that creative also. As it is, since I can't paint (or draw a straight line with a ruler) I have to come up with things that other people have created, but I have sense enough to know when they are fun!lol

Thank you Pam. It is amazing the lengths some people go to show creativity. My favorite is tomato and sheep.

I am kind of crafty, though. I make jewelry. Haven't bought any except for components in a couple years. Also make shower gel, soap, lotions, etc. when the spirit moves me.

PainterWoman Sunday, March 29, 2009 11:06:58 PM

Linda! That is really cool that you make all that stuff! When I go to art fairs, I always buy some hand made soaps. They're much milder for my sensitive skin.

SummerAngel Sunday, March 29, 2009 11:27:35 PM

Seems you are creative, just in a different way. Being a pratical person, I, like Pam, would be inclined to pruchase the type of products you make.

L2D2 Sunday, March 29, 2009 11:42:35 PM

I thank both of you. In making bath products, you can add anything you like to the stuff and make it non-fragranced or pretty smelling, and you can customize it to a degree. I enjoy the jewelry making, though my eyesight is getting too bad for me to do it much anymore. I make just costume jewelry with the czech glass beads, etc, but my favorite stones are the natural quartzes, jaspers, turquoise, fresh water pearls, etc. I prefer the components made by nature.smile

L2D2 Monday, March 30, 2009 12:24:48 AM

Knowing how Pam loves aquas and greens, if I were to make her a jewelry set, I can see her in something made with turquoise, aquamarine and malachite with touches of blue topaz and Imperial topaz with sterling silver.

SummerAngel Monday, March 30, 2009 2:08:53 PM

My daddy bought me a heart shaped turquoise and silver ring from the Indian Reservation in the Smokies when I was little. I loved that ring. They also sell hemetite stones in the Smokies. I think it's so neat how they stick together due to their magnetic qualities.

PainterWoman Monday, March 30, 2009 4:42:04 PM

Linda, malachite is one of my favorite stones. My ex bought me a few malachite and turquoise stones many years ago. I designed a setting for a necklace for the two malachite pieces and one for a turquoise ring and we had a silversmith make them.

Would love to see some photos of the jewelry you have made. I had to take a jewelry class at ASU during my art studies. I loved the results but would never continue it because I hate lighting those gas torches. Scares the bejeebers out of me.

L2D2 Monday, March 30, 2009 8:38:08 PM

Well, Pam, I just string beads, I do not do wirework, nor have I ever tried to make the lampwork beads, but I am sure I would enjoy learning how. I just take these things up on my own and learn as I go, like I have computers. I may see if I can get pics of some of my favorite pieces, but do not hold me to that. I am not much of a photographer.smile Why doesn't Opera make us an artist emoticon?

glenno Tuesday, March 31, 2009 3:48:27 AM

They are great. Is it art? Dunno what the definition of the word is, to me if I look at something like that and like it then its art smile
How about these?

glenno Tuesday, March 31, 2009 4:16:46 AM

If you like science fiction, how about "do androids dream of electric sheep?" smile
Or I just wanted to phone ewe??
Its a nice diorama or is that dialorama?
Sorry, I feel a bit sheepish after those bad puns, hope they wernt too baaa'd. lol

KarenNerak Tuesday, March 31, 2009 4:38:28 AM

Have a delightful day! smile

L2D2 Tuesday, March 31, 2009 5:21:29 AM

OH Lord, preserve us. That was lol I bow to you. You are the:king of Pundendum!

L2D2 Tuesday, March 31, 2009 5:23:56 AM

Hi Karen. Glad you like the above. Have you met Glen? glenno. He is a good friend of mine.

glenno Tuesday, March 31, 2009 5:45:49 AM

Hope it made you laugh... bad jokes are my forte

L2D2 Tuesday, March 31, 2009 5:50:31 AM

I love MOST of your bad jokes Glen. However, I disagree totally with those who decided that puns are the lowest form of humor. Must have been decided by bunch of old fuddy duddys.bigsmile

KarenNerak Tuesday, March 31, 2009 7:21:11 AM

Hi Linda! bigsmile

No, I have not met Glen yet. From what you've said, I'm clearly missing out! down

L2D2 Tuesday, March 31, 2009 7:24:42 AM

He's a neat college teacher of, I believe, computer engineering, and he lives in New Zealand. He has a blog called Glenno's Fireside Chat. Visit him sometime.

KarenNerak Tuesday, March 31, 2009 8:00:55 AM

yikes Computer Engineering? o I'm a Super Geek...I gotta get to know him! yes

Thanks for the heads up! bigsmile

L2D2 Tuesday, March 31, 2009 8:15:25 AM

Well, I am not absolutely sure of that occupation. Might have him confused with someone else. I meet so many people here on Opera and do not always remember who did what. I left a comment and asked him to tell me again. I DO know he is a teacher, but might turn out to be English teacher for all I remember. Even so, you will like him. Got 3 pretty daughters and a wife.

KarenNerak Tuesday, March 31, 2009 10:04:21 AM

Awww...he sounds like a nice guy. I look forward to getting to know him. I have a 17 year old son, an 11 year old daughter, and a 32 year old fiancé. lol

L2D2 Tuesday, March 31, 2009 6:52:24 PM

I have a 44-year-old son, no grandchildren, two cats and two birds and that is it,bigsmile

SummerAngel Tuesday, March 31, 2009 8:42:01 PM

From seeing your avitar, I thought you might be a cat lover. What breed are they?

L2D2 Tuesday, March 31, 2009 11:29:26 PM

Heinz 57 bigsmile Topaz is about 3/4 Siamese, but she has no tail so there is Manx somewhere in her ancestry.

Popcorn is an I don't know. I named her that because she is all white except for her ears, which are goldy-tan and same color rings on her tail, short hair; hence, the name Popcorn.

Have picture or two of Topaz in my photos--the only Siamese colored one.

SummerAngel Wednesday, April 1, 2009 2:15:27 PM

I have a friend in FL who rescues cats. While on vacation there 8/05, my son and I adopted a five week old kitten. Have no idea what breed she is, but she's a sweetheart.

L2D2 Saturday, June 13, 2009 6:40:35 AM

I bookmarked it so I could get back to it without having to hunt through the comments.

Are you out of school for the summer?

ɥʇɐǝp ɟo ssǝɔuıɹdprincessofdeath Saturday, June 13, 2009 9:10:45 AM

Nope... hahaha... here in the philippines or other tropical countries summer is over and school is starting p

and I didn't get to have a vacation since nursing college students are forced to attend a summer semester.

L2D2 Saturday, June 13, 2009 7:30:21 PM

So, you are going to nursing school? That's wonderful. We need more nurses. There aren't enough to go around now.

Yeah~ that's one of my reasons why I took up a nursing course.

L2D2 Sunday, June 14, 2009 6:16:33 PM

Good for you Karen. Karen is right isn't it? I have a sister who is an RN. She retired about 5 years ago. She loved being a nurse. She was an OR nurse.
