L2D2's ALL NIGHT GARDEN PARTY

If you see someone without a smile give them one of yours.

WELCOME TO MY GARDEN

, , , ,

Welcome! Look at my new garden!

Thanks to Suntana, I have a beautiful new garden to enjoy. I give him the credit for coming up with this design. I got to select some of the colors and the words in the header, but otherwise, it is all Suntana.

Because of my gratitude, I am offering him Giant Burritos from El Lugar for the rest of his life (as often as he wishes). And I hereby offer him a Dr. Pepper toast. Salut! Carlos. Thank you so much.

I am offering here an invitation to all my Opera friends...and any other visitors who happen by....to enter my Garden and have a nice, relaxing experience. Take your shoes off, let your toes curl into the soft green grass, circulate, talk to everyone, bring a picnic lunch if you like. Most of all, I want you to have a good time here. The gate to my garden is always unlocked.

So, without any further verbiage I want to again say WELCOME! LET'S PARTY! And if you don't leave a nice comment, my serpent will bite you!

Looks beautiful.

Linda 2. May 2009, 21:32

Thanks Carol. Like I said, I just hate losing all the original comments that were made.

Dacotah 2. May 2009, 21:36

You are welcome.

Suntana 3. May 2009, 22:53

Hey there, Peppermint Linda, sorry you lost your original Sticky Welcome Post and your plethora of Comments. That bites! Then I'll just have to again say --- You are most Welcome! I'm glad I could capture the LOOK you wanted.

Oh and the hard time you gave me during the project?
Ehhh, Fuhgedaboutit. Pfffffttttt! What's a little Slave Driving and Running Ragged between 2 Texan Friends?

Linda 3. May 2009, 23:58

Right you are Carlos. I still regret losing all the goodie comments I got then, but oh, well, I am depressed today anyway so I guess it just fits. awww

Linda 4. May 2009, 06:30

Who didn’t love Peppermint Patty with her care-free attitude and spunky comebacks? Making her comic strip debut in 1966, she quickly won the hearts of many and a recurring role in the famed Peanuts comic. Notorious for calling Charlie Brown “Chuck,” her character was unique and she was never afraid to let her true self shine through. Peppermint Patty had a style all her own - right down to her favorite brown sandals - and she never doubted herself when her choices were questioned.

Thank you Chuck. I'll take that!p:

Suntana 4. May 2009, 17:26

 :headbang: She's also famous for backing Charlie Brown Chuck into a corner and committing him into preparing the Thanksgiving Dinner, which thanks to Snoopy's culinary skills, winds up a disaster. :jester:

So, her Hippy Brown Sandals are famous? I bet you have sandals like those, right, Linda? Something I hadn't really been aware of ... does she ALWAYS were that particular Red / White striped Top? You know ... like Charlie Brown's trademark Yellow / Black shirt.

Linda 4. May 2009, 19:33

Always--at least I think so. However, in that respect, afraid I am a clothes horse...or was. Substitute her brown sandals for my Reeboks and there you are.

I didn't keep up religiously with Peanuts all the years of it's life, so I don't remember Peppermint Patty. So she was an instigator? How intriguing!

Have you started on the friend's pc stuff yet?

Read your blog last night but didn't comment because I just wasn't in the mood. Will do that when I am in better frame of mind. I did enjoy it. Boo on truck driver!:furious:

Lovinmalamutes 4. May 2009, 19:56

Peppermint Patty always wore the red striped shirt in all the episodes I remember seeing.

Lovinmalamutes 4. May 2009, 20:01

I really like the birdbath and the bird in it. It's so pleasant.

Linda 4. May 2009, 20:10

Thank you. The hummingbird, birdbath and snake were in my original (glad I had saved the images to My Pictures folder) The cosmos in the middle is new. Thanks for commenting.

Lovinmalamutes 4. May 2009, 20:24

 Awesome Garden  :D

Suntana 4. May 2009, 22:02

Refresh my mind, Peppermint. Which friend's PC stuff? Am I "running ragged" so much that I forgot to help someone whom I was supposed to help? I did perform that Computer Maintenance on Saturday. Now who else was I supposed to help? Are you referring to the Background modification on my current Blog Theme project? I'll do that a little bit later this evening. Last night I even tossed together an Unofficial Header BORDER for my next project, which I'll probably start on around Thursday or so.

Oh, and I know what you mean. Sometimes I'll be reading Blogs late and am getting somnolent. I'll put off commenting cuz I'd rather comment when I have all my wits about me ... yep, all 2 wits about me.

Suntana 4. May 2009, 22:05

So, D, you're a Peppermint Patty Connoisseur / Afficionado / Historian, are you? :D Don't forget all that valuable Info. It might come in handy in a Game Show one day.

Lovinmalamutes 4. May 2009, 23:08

Not really, I just loved to watch the cartoon. Charlie Brown just never learned. hahaha

Linda 4. May 2009, 23:26

Chuck, maybe it was the pc maintenance thing I was thinking about--something about a friend asking you to do something, you didn't hear from her for long time, then all of a sudden when you had Hermitess blog to do, this other one finally responded. Ring a bell? I would have to go back through your email to find out exactly what you did tell me and I don' wanna do dat.

Just made friends with another Texan--least he used to be. He lives on the Louisiana side of Caddo Lake now. Phantom 2. Know him? Gotta get all the Texans I can to be buddies.:D

Lovinmalamutes 4. May 2009, 23:28

I'm not a Texan, but when I lived there I fit right in.

Linda 4. May 2009, 23:31

Well, I will adopt you as a Texan. How's that?

Suntana 5. May 2009, 00:19

Oh YES, Peppermint, I know which one you're talking about now.
Now that contact has been established, that project is definitely ON. Right after I finish Hermitess' ... Err, Gert's project :D ... I'll commence on Christy's (Greathoneybear) Blog Theme. We already discussed all sorts of ideas and details. While I haven't officially begun on her project, I actually earlier today floated an Unofficial Header BORDER prototype her way just to get a preliminary idea if we're remotely on near the same page.

Linda 5. May 2009, 00:27

Well, the next time I change mine, I don't want a border. I want an image up there not contained inside a box. Something dramatic. Do you know how to do that?

Bet you are watching DWS right now, right? One you like, besides Edyta, still in there?

I'm for Ty. I like him and I like his attitude.

Suntana 5. May 2009, 02:54

Do I know how to put up an image without a border ... dramatically?
You're asking the Wizard of Drama THAT? Pfffttt! Does an Albino Skunk a Wild Bear Shhh___ in the Woods? I can put up a big ole image of Texas with an Albino Skunk wearing a 10-Gallon Hat and Spurs if that's what you want. :D

I sorta watched DWTS in the background. My 3 normal Favorites are all gone now -- Edyta, Kym and Julianne. awww However, I've really liked Chelsea. She's extremely Keee-Yute and Whoa! She's got some Nice Legs! I think I am in Love ... or Lust or something. :D Day-Um! That 1st costume she wore tonight ... I couldn't take my eyes off of her! Unfortunately, she and Ty will probably be ousted tomorrow. Oh and from the Celebs, I like Melissa.

Dacotah 5. May 2009, 02:58

 Your funny Carlos. :D

Suntana 5. May 2009, 03:15

So, Carol, do you want to play Wheel of Fortune? Do you want to buy a vowel and fill in the blank in my previous Comment?
 Just Kidding! :D

Linda 5. May 2009, 03:15

I didn't ask you to put up an image dramatically, Chuck. I asked you could you put up a dramatic image? I'm sure that you do everything dramatically--and does that include lovemaking too? "slap myself" Linda, shame on you!

Suntana 5. May 2009, 03:20

 Dramatic lovemaking ... you mean like making love while quoting Shakespeare? :jester:

So what would be a dramatic image?

Whoops! I just remembered. Speaking of image, I'd better go modify that image before I get sleeby ... sleeby

Dacotah 5. May 2009, 03:22

 You two are cute. :D

Nathalya risis 6. May 2009, 00:49

Dacotah 6. May 2009, 00:59

Linda 6. May 2009, 02:05

I will help if I can Risis.

Linda 6. May 2009, 02:08

Carol, not sure I can find it again. I accessed My Space on Windows Live and the message about it was in my hotmail inbox. Will go back there and see what I can find.

It had an option to do the avatar plus new emoticons for Windows Live Messenger, which is my principal IM app. I chose to download just the avatar after I had made it. Also have celebrities avatars that you can choose. Will let you know if I find it again!

Lovinmalamutes 6. May 2009, 02:42

Great new avatar, She looks like a no-nonsense kind of gal.

I thank you for the adoption as a Texan. I accept *smiling*

Linda 6. May 2009, 02:55

I like her. She wears glasses like me.:D

Now, to be an adopted Texan, you need to visit Texas every now and then.p:

Linda 6. May 2009, 02:56

PM me Risis, when you get ready. Hope I will be able to help. If I can't I'll bet Carlos can.

Suntana 6. May 2009, 03:21

¡Hola, Risis! Yeah, go ahead an PM Linda. If she can't take your thoughts and word them correctly into a Post for you and she wants to toss the project over my way, sure, I'll see what I can do.

And if you want help with a Custom Blog Theme, Risis, I'd be glad to get you Hooked Up with one as well. But, you'll have to wait about a week. I'm just finishing one up for someone, maybe by tomorrow or Thursday. And then I'll be starting another one for someone else. THEN I can start creating one for you, Risis.

Dacotah 6. May 2009, 03:38

Thank you Linda.

Phantom2 6. May 2009, 03:42

Now, to be an adopted Texan, you need to visit Texas every now and then.

You forgot to tell her she also has to learn to correctly pronounce "y'all" !

Like the new avatar.

Linda 6. May 2009, 04:28

Thanks P2. As I said, it suits me, and you're right about the ya'll. All outsiders (anyone not from the South) say You-all. Bugs me.

I just knew I was going to have a StoryLady to read tonight. Where's it?

Left a comment on your, uh, uh, Courtroom? post. I ROFLMAO. I love, love, love your blogs. You missed your true calling P2.

Phantom2 6. May 2009, 04:37

She's working on it. May be a few days......it's a bit to long to post yet.
And thank you for the compliment! I used to make this things up for my daughter.

Now you REALLY have me curious. What in the world will Freakin' StoryLady come up with next? Could never be too long.

What a lucky little girl. Bet she loved your stories.

Nathalya risis 6. May 2009, 05:54

Linda 6. May 2009, 06:09

Glad you like to wander around in my garden. It's a refuge from stressed out StoryLadies ("Shut yo ass up and siddown") and other strange critters spied runnin' around OC, yellin' & hollerin' and generally making asses of themselves. So, you can come here to rest anytime, or laugh or tell jokes, or tell lies or anything else your sweet lil ole Texas self wants to do. I am always here (almost literally.)p: :D

Offering infamous famous Southern Hospitality. Mint Julep anyone?

Phantom2 6. May 2009, 06:13

 Glad to hear it!
Do we bring our own lawn chairs?
