   ... good one Linda ... sometimes it's just the little nap between the daily efforts to get along ...

L2D2 7. October 2009, 07:35

And cats are such mysterious creatures, and really comic without meaning to be. I have seen my cats sleep in my flower pots, they love to sleep in my waste baskets, and they will choose some of the most precarious perches! And this seems to apply to most cats, not just domestic ones. I have an empty cardboard box in my living room floor. Have left it there because Popcorn sleeps in it all the time, even though she has to curl up to do so.

gdare 7. October 2009, 07:40

That "monorail" cat look so hilarious  Complete knock out :ko:

L2D2 7. October 2009, 07:45

Dare, either that cat is dead or in the process! That one is just ridiculous.

risis1977 7. October 2009, 08:58

So many cute photos! I do have a cat myself, but nowadays he is mostly outdoors. But when winter comes he usually sleeps on top of a cupboard in the kitchen.

Dacotah 7. October 2009, 11:02

awww Cute.

risis1977 7. October 2009, 11:30

Dacotah 7. October 2009, 11:54

Hi Risis

barefoot_muse 7. October 2009, 12:01

I think I've seen some of those photos around my house! 'I'm a cat and I can sleep anywhere' so true! I love the way our Lily likes to sleep in windows. She prefers my Grandpa's bed the most, which he pretends to hate, but I know he really likes having her with him

ellinidata 7. October 2009, 13:17

hey Darko.....you also have sleeping cats.....wow.....

There2ia 7. October 2009, 13:52

talking about cats.....We have a mith in java. if a car or motorcycle crashes a cat until it dies. the driver or someone who sees it must burry the cat to avoid any bad things happened in his(her) life.

risis1977 7. October 2009, 14:10

Yeah, tere was right...
I have had once... And we just took it home..

how are you carol?..

PainterWoman 7. October 2009, 14:40

That's exactly what they do....sleep anywhere and any which way. I had cats when I was little when we moved to Arizona. Because it is so hot in the summer here, the favorite spots were mostly in the dirt under a bush or, if they were in the house, the bathtub or sink, cuz they were nice and cool.

There2ia 7. October 2009, 15:09

hey Risis....
When I was in senior high school, I had a cute black cat. it was female. we looked after the cat since it was very small.I forget How I got the cat. when the time the cat had babies......it was difficult. It took the baby inside the cupboard and I did not know what to do to keep them clean so my father took them somewhere so they couldnt get my home again.....

risis1977 7. October 2009, 15:34

Eww..:frown:
So sad...but sometimes our dads has and need to do it..
But I thought, when you get married you could look for a male..

Nerak 7. October 2009, 16:28

 All of these pics are so cute! :o:

L2D2 7. October 2009, 18:33

Thanks everyone. I think most people know by now that I am an animal lover in general and a cat and bird lover in particular. These are fairly typical sleeping places and positions for cats.

@ Tamil. Thanks Anjaneya! I have seen the kitty on the keyboard before, and a couple of the others, but that last picture just can't be beat for cute and precious.

L2D2 7. October 2009, 18:45

Theresia, I don't think I could have lived my life without animals and I have had some unusual pets over the years [url=http://my.opera.com/L2D2/blog/2009/05/03/pepe-le-peu-albino-skunk-extraordinaire check this out

Hi Norfrid! Thank you for visiting my blog. You are welcome here anytime. Glad you enjoyed my kitties.

McLeod, does Ollie ever lie in odd positions and places like this or just on your couch? I wondered who would be the first to say something about fried cat. Kind of figured it would be you.

Jess, true, any cat person has seen these, or similar sleeping poses before. And how does one keep warm in the wintertime when they are single without a cat or dog on the bed? :D

Angeliki, thank you. Glad you like this post. Sort of thought you would.

Pam, yep, they love the coolness of the porcelain or stainless steel in sinks and bathtubs. Have pictures of cats in sink.

L2D2 7. October 2009, 18:47

Hi Carol----did you sleep at all? And what about the call to the doctor? Looks like you gave up on the other avatar!

L2D2 7. October 2009, 18:49

McLeod, my picture number 4 is of a Scottish Fold kitten in the bowl. It is a fairly popular breed.

L2D2 7. October 2009, 20:03

We have that very much in common, Angeliki. I have loved animals from my first memories.

ellinidata 7. October 2009, 20:08

I think we two can have an amazing time together Linda!

I am still playing lotto,
If I win enough,
I will buy us a cruise

and I know we will be dinning at the captains table every evening!

L2D2 7. October 2009, 20:11

Wouldn't that be fun?! I can see us being the life of party at every meal---or at least I am sure you would be. I don't think either of us is shy. Have never been on a cruise and always wanted to.

L2D2 7. October 2009, 20:45

I can just see me now----but I thought that dance was for men only?

L2D2 7. October 2009, 20:52

Shucks! Angeliki, that woman moves better at 95 than I do now! Did you notice that everyone was watching her?

actually these days is danced more by women!
this one is still danced by men , however I dance it for ever and I find it very enjoyable:
http://my.opera.com/ellinidata/blog/2009/03/06/zaibekiko

as for her moving well at 95,
she is doing a great job,
however I think there are many people in their 30s that move slower than her, so
age is over rated, will power can turn things around, practice helps too!

SummerAngel 7. October 2009, 21:31

The second picture resembles my son's cat, only she's a darker shiner black color. He named her Quick Silver (surfing brand name) because if you brush her coat upwards, it's silver underneath. I call her Little Girl.

My favorite sleeping kitty is the one on the piano.

dbshadow 7. October 2009, 22:09

Being a cat person too, and a Texan, I think this is great, gave me a smile I needed today. My cats have tried most of those positions, except maybe the cereal bowl. Keep up the great pictures.:cat:

L2D2 7. October 2009, 22:11

Hi dbshadow. Welcome to my blog---good to see you here, and everyone is always welcome in my garden. Didn't know you were a Texas! Hey! Are you a native or Texan by choice?

L2D2 7. October 2009, 22:17

dbshadow, what do you want me to call you. Just visited your about page and didn't even look for your name---I was too busy laughing over your post there about "If you love someone....." That is exactly the kind of thing I like to post. Good one!

Dacotah 7. October 2009, 23:05

Hi Linda, Karen  resized it for me.
I went to the doctors yesterday. He gave me stuff, if it doesn't work I go back next week. The 14th I go to see about my liver. I'm tired of waiting and being in pain. My right hip feels like it's going to fall off with the lower back pain.

L2D2 7. October 2009, 23:11

Good. It is WAY past time for something to be done Carol. Isn't right for someone to be in constant pain when it can be prevented. Medical help for poor folks sucks in the U.S. but not sure universal health care is the answer. Certainly not Obamas bill.

Dacotah 7. October 2009, 23:13

I know. I'm glad the doctors in the US help others from other countries but when it comes to helping someone here forget it.

L2D2 7. October 2009, 23:25

I still wish I could be with you long enough to get you the medical care you need. There are so many programs out there for medical help, and there should be at least a couple that you could qualify for. Although, I had the same frustrations before I qualified for Medicare. But the public health clinic is better than nothing and I qualified for a program they had available that helped with the medications and appointment costs. Anything serious, though, and I had to go to emergency room. Until last couple years was able to depend on good treatment in ER, even as private pay, but recently, they only patch you up, treat obvious symptoms and send you home. I think you need to apply for disability again and not say you are married. They always refuse first applications. You have to fight for it in most cases.

Dacotah 7. October 2009, 23:31

Thank you. We don't have a public health clinic here.
I have applied more then once for disability for my bad back, my spine curves really bad but they keep deaning it.

L2D2 7. October 2009, 23:35

You have to prove that you are incapable of holding down a job. You need a lawyer. See if you have ones there that will take a case like that and only get paid if you get the disability.

Dacotah 7. October 2009, 23:40

I was thinking of that but if I get a lawyer they take money each month.

L2D2 7. October 2009, 23:49

NOt these, Carol. At least down here they do not get paid a cent unless they win the case. Forget what that is called, but wish you would check into it. Lawyers who specialize in disability cases.

Dacotah 7. October 2009, 23:54

I just know of someone here that had a lawyer for it and the lawyer gets a big chunk every month from their check.

ellinidata 8. October 2009, 00:05

Carol,
it is better to share in the beginning than having zero income,
Linda is right ,
you need a representative...
follow this link, you might find something that can help your case,
if not call them ,they will refer you to somebody else!
http://disability-advocate.com/
Good Luck honey,
people that have no reason collect,
you are in pain. You are one of the few that deserves the help.

risis1977 8. October 2009, 01:31

There2ia 8. October 2009, 01:32

Carol....I am sorry for what happens to you and I dont know at all about all the medication treatment for you but I have my best wishes for You to get the best solution for your problem......
