I've had lung disease for a long time, Nat. Haven't had to use oxygen, though, till now. My blood oxygen saturation is still real good during the day, but apparently, it drops way too low while I'm sleeping. Not good.

GREAT! I hope you can stick with it Dh. You will be glad of it, once you get your lungs cleared up and rid of the cough and the stink, and get back your sense of smell and taste. Amazing how little we realize how much tobacco stinks until you smell it yourself for the first time (I mean the way it really smells).

The eating more is natural. If you can make yourself do it, do exercise to raise your metabolism because it's proven that the metabolism slows down when you quit smoking, and your body doesn't burn the calories, so you gain weight. But the health benefits outweigh the weight gain----pun intended---unless you let yourself get obese.

Proud of you! yes If you find something to keep your mind AND hands busy, it will be easier to ignore the urge to smoke.

I'm tired. I went to doctor today. Got h1n1 flu shot (my choice) She said it was pretty rare for anyone in my age group to get swine flu unless they are around kids or a lot of people. However, ahe added, after telling me I was unlikely to get it, that if I DID get it, with my compromised lungs, it could kill me. sO i TOOK IT. also started two new medicines and one has made me dizzy. Think I'll go to bed early tonight.
