I fell off the world one night
Fell into the darkest plight,
all my senses told me so,
But still I heard a voice say “No!
You shall not become a shade
living in the darkest glade,
do not run from irrational fear,
reach out your hand, for She is near”.
Oh! the glory of Her light.
It blazed around me and the sight
Stopped my fall, stopped my descent,
caught me, held me, my strength spent.
She came to me in blazing fire
Her furnace beauty my desire
and brought me out of that Dark Place,
hauled back my fall through Her sweet grace.
I fell off the world one night
Fell into the darkest plight,
all my senses told me so,
but I returned and now I know
the healing power of Her glow
healed me, sealed me, kept me so.
I fell off the world one night,
But I returned, toward the Light....
