Another favorite of mine is Argentinian classical pianist Ingrid Fliter. Although she is widely known elsewhere, she gets little attention here in the US. She is going to be playing one of my favorites, Chopin Concerto #2 for piano and orch. in FL next spring. This is the piece that won her 2nd place in the Warsaw Chopin championship. Chopin in the wrong hands can be rather boring, like something you've heard a million times. But this is never the case with Ingrid, who brings it to life. I've heard her Concerto #2 on Youtube and I love her interpretation. I might have to make a pilgrimage.
