As some of you may know, last friday I was at a "Live at ESAM" edition of the "Early Morning w/ Joe Fox". The show host, Mr. Joe Fox, invited three specialists to discuss a common topic nowadays: Teen's Problems. The specialists invited are of the highest prestige in their fields.
Dr. Susan McDonald is a nutritionist that has first-hand experience with teenagers with eating disorders. The questions asked by Mr. Fox weren't quite of her field, but she decided to let the audience know her opinion.
Prof. Plum is a scientist that has been on some researches regarding worrying deseases, like cancer. He has also been pretty active on our society by talking to whoever wants to hear him about the drugs problem.
Finally, there was Mr. Ryan Frost, which is me, to leave his mark as an expert psychologist. I've been advising lots of teenagers for the past 5 years and it was an honor to be considered a role psychologist by Mr. Joe Fox.
Well, the show started with Mr. Fox introducting the specialists. The audience of teens was great and a lot of applauses were heard. Then, we started talking about the problems selected by Mr. Fox and the cast: gamers, nerds, fame complexed, fat and drug addicts. Each one had a small video introduction which I thought really interesting, and the audience also seemed to like.
During the whole show, there was a young lady taking notes on our performance... it's ok to be interested, but there's a limit. That made the show a little awkward...
After the show, the audience "took" the place of Mr. Fox and asked each one of us about questions they had... the question that was more frequent was if any of us had one of those problems...
The day started great and with the company of Dr. Susan, Prof. Plum and Mr. Fox all day long, it ended up even better.
