The road to SXSW (From Oslo to San Diego to Austin)

Last weekend, I got back to San Diego after a weeklong trip to Opera HQ in Oslo. It was a very intense but exciting week of work, but in the process, I caught a cold. My luggage was delayed for a day in Amsterdam, so I had to go without winter clothes for a night. Luckily, my colleague Keiki Ichikawa from Japan was staying at the same hotel as me, and he let me borrow a jacket and scarf for the morning commute to work.
In addition to Keiki, Daniel Goldman was in Oslo that week as well, so it was a global get-together for our team, which was excellent. If you haven't already seen it on Digg, Daniel blogged about his trip, and took a lot of pictures.
Headed to Austin
My cold didn't kick in until mid-week, and it'd be nice to take a day off from work, but there's just too much to do in preparation for South by Southwest (SXSW), or more precisely SXSWi ("i" for Interactive). Opera will have a booth there (M11, M12), so definitely stop by if you're at the event! We always have cutting edge technology to show off, and a ton of great stuff to give away. We'll even help you install Opera on your phone if you haven't already done so.
I'll be in Austin from Sunday through Tuesday, but some other Opera folks will be there earlier. Don't hesitate to say hi if you see us around! We love meeting Opera users and people who are curious about what we have to offer. (If you see me there and mention that you read this blog post, I might have a special Opera gift to give you. Supplies are limited!)
Also, Opera's very own Charles McCathieNevile will be speaking on a panel on Tuesday, entitled Browser Wars Retrospective: Past, Present and Future Battlefields. Should be exciting.
