A look at Norway, home of Opera Software

With nearly 400 employees from 40 different countries, and boasting numerous offices around the world, Opera is truly an international company. That said, however, Opera is tied very closely to Norway, where it was founded. Despite the company's rapid international expansion, the Oslo office of Opera is still the main headquarters where the vast majority of Opera employees work.To understand Opera, therefore, one also has to know something about Norway. I've been to Oslo three times, each trip related to work. I've been learning more and more about Norwegian culture, and I've gotten some small sense of how it influences the culture of Opera (but I'll leave it to my colleagues to comment on that if they have time).
For those of you who can't make it to Norway, I highly recommend the following article recently published in Conde Nast Traveler magazine online: Norway's New Groove

@Lawrence:
You have been here 3 times and you have not told us? Come on, tell us next time, and we can go out for a beer. Or a milk or what ever

I'll post here on my blog before my next visit. (Maybe in a few months?)
