Opera / Max Headroom connection?

As an Opera employee and fan, I've been keeping up with Opera's initiatives to help bring native video to the Web. Part of the proposal is that the royalty-free Ogg Theora video format ought to be used.

A lot has been written about this already, and I invite you to follow the links above for more information. The real reason I'm writing this post is because I was amused this weekend to find out that Ogg Theora is named after Theora Jones, one of the main characters (played by Amanda Pays) in Max Headroom, one of my favorite TV shows of all time (though I haven't seen it since I was a kid).

It was so fun back then, daydreaming about dark cyberpunk futures. Of course, now we're living that future (more or less). :bandit:

Dystopia or not, at least I get to work for one of the good guys :cool:
