My current phone is Sprint's version of the HTC Touch Diamond.
Here's a pretty good article discussing the Touch Diamond's place in the market, and how it's part of Sprint's overall strategy:
HTC’s Touch Diamond: Sprint Nextel adds to its high-end offeringsI like this quote:
The Opera browser on the Touch Diamond is “about moving to better browsers,” Van Norman said. “That’s a key data strategy. We’re putting that into play now.”

phone, SXSW, htc, samsung
SXSW was fun, but I hurt my phone (which I use to demo Opera Mini) in the process. Here's what a broken screen looks like on a Samsung A900.
So now I'm wondering what my next phone should be. I'm thinking about getting an
HTC Mogul, since it'd be nice to tether it to my laptop to get broadband internet wherever there's a good (EV-DO) cellular signal. Plus, I'd be able to use the latest and greatest version of
Opera Mobile, and still demo
Opera Mini using a JVM.
On the other hand, inexpensive flip phones are great for demos. They're really common, and when I show people Opera Mini on phones like that, it really surprises them how good their internet experience can be (using Opera Mini on a simple phone). Smaller phones tend to be sturdier, too, and are much cheaper to replace if necessary.
One option is to carry around two phones, one for use daily, and one for demo purposes, but that might be overkill.
Then there's also the
news that Opera Mini is now available on the very cool Helio Ocean...
