Photos of Opera's office in Seoul, Korea

, , ,

When it comes to uploading personal photos on the Web, I don't usually upload a lot of them, and I'm pretty slow about it. Anyhow, some of you know that I spent my vacation this year visiting Korea (in late July and early August). I'm Chinese, but my wife is Korean, so we have a lot of extended family in Korea. (Also, when I was younger, I spent 4 years in Korea as a foreigner, but that's a different story.)

Even though I was on vacation, I made it a point to visit Opera's Seoul office. My goal, for no particular reason, is to visit as many of our offices around the world as possible. Everyone at the Seoul office was really nice; I think those of us who work at Opera's satellite offices share a common bond - all of us being away from the mothership, so to speak.

I took some photos of the office and my colleagues who work there (though the roster has changed some since August). You can find the pics on my Flickr gallery:

Back from vacation

, , , ...

In case anyone was wondering where I've been, I went to Korea on vacation for a couple of weeks. During that time, I got to visit Opera's Seoul office one day, which I'll be writing about later (with photos). Overall, the trip was fun, but very tiring. Along with my family, I was one of the thousands of people stranded at LAX on Saturday. After we landed, we waited for 5 hours on the airplane, just parked on the ground; since I didn't have to catch a connecting flight, I consider myself lucky.

Anyhow, I'm definitely glad to be back in San Diego and in the office again. I have a lot to catch up on, and we have a ton of exciting stuff coming up that's going to keep me very busy (including my first trip to our Silicon Valley office next week).
