Just announced: the Opera Web Standards Curriculum

, ,

Announced today, the Opera Web Standards Curriculum is part of Opera Education, Opera's outreach program for universities, schools, and other educational institutions. The curriculum is an amazing resource, and it's all free. I think I'll spend part of my summer vacation improving my Web development skills!

My colleague Anne van Kesteren talks about ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) and HTML5 in a 2 part video podcast found here: http://standardssuck.org/aria-in-html5

I met Anne when he visited San Diego a little while back. He's a cool guy who does really important work.

Going to BarCamp

, ,

This Saturday, I'll be at BarCamp San Diego 3. I'll be talking to people about Opera, of course.

We're also a sponsor, as is Microsoft. In fact, this BarCamp is being held at Microsoft's San Diego office. Should be interesting

Thanks, Daniel

I just wanted to offer my best wishes to Daniel Goldman, who has decided to move on from Opera to pursue new opportunities. Opera Watch certainly won't be the same, but I hope it will continue on in one form or another. I've always enjoyed working with Daniel because, like myself, he was an active Opera fan even before joining the company.

I hope he'll be an active member of the My Opera community that he helped to build up, and where he'll always be welcome.
