New Motorola ROKR ( - Apple + Linux + Opera)

,

Motorola unveiled the ROKR E2 at the Consumer Electronics Show (where Opera is also having a booth). The new phone has all kinds of improvements over the original ROKR, including

  • Linux-based OS
  • No arbitrary limit on the number of songs
  • USB 2.0
  • SD slot
  • 320x240 screen
  • 1.3 megapixel camera with video recording
  • FM radio
  • Opera browser
  • Bluetooth
  • 3.5mm stereo headphone jack
  • Improved design
  • Available in Black or White

The ROKR E2 is considered a "mid-tier" phone, and will be available in mid-2006. At least, here is a full-featured phone that I might be able to afford.
