I've enjoyed browser/car analogies for quite some time now. Yesterday, on Opera Watch, I finally saw someone present an illustrated version. Also, in the comments, johnnysaucepn presented his own version.

It all reminds me of Volkswagen's "Un-pimp" campaign (on YouTube)

Funny stuff - not to be taken too seriously, of course :wink:

This analogy reminds me of Neal Stephenson's classic essay "In the Beginning was the Command Line". There's a chapter called "MGBs, TANKS, AND BATMOBILES" that compares operating systems to cars. Worth a read!
