New Opera-enabled smartphone released in China

,

In general, I find that cell phones are kind of ugly. That's why I appreciate bold new designs, like the new Motorola A1200, a Linux-based smartphone just released in China. The phone is expected to be available in China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong first, followed by availability in the US sometime later. Most importantly, the phone runs Opera.

From the article on LinuxDevices.com:
Other touted A1200 features include a bluetooth radio, business-card scanner, and a 1.3 megapixel camera mounted just above a mirror, to assist with self-portraits. The phone comes with a full Opera browser, Picsel document viewers, a Java environment for user-installable applications, and Motorola's MotoSync client software.

Cute, but powerful!
