This bit of offbeat news has been sitting on my tab list for almost two weeks now. I'm a little surprised that more people haven't written about it, other than Japanese Opera bloggers.

Anyhow, ZDNet Japan did an article that featured its mascot "Ziddy" visiting Opera's HQ in Oslo. The article is in Japanese, but there are 18 photos, including a nice view of snowy Oslo from Opera's balcony, our reception area, and the canteen where Opera employees get free lunch every day. We don't get free lunch here in San Diego, but food in Southern California is not that expensive, especially compared to Oslo (the world's most expensive city).

yes, I agree. I have not ever been the kind of exepensive city in my life. it's true the canteen save our employees life :smile:

They must have been lucky?!? to get snow on their pictures. Can't remember a year with this little snow in Oslo all my life.
