Một thú vui những ngày hưu trí là du lịch xem danh lam thắng cãnh, tìm hiểu thế giới bao quanh, và đặc biệt hiểu được những giá trị cũa con người khắp mọi nơi, mọi thời đại.. Một triết gia nào đó nói, làm người tôi phải biết tất cả những gì liên quan đến con người.
Năm ngoái 2,006, cùng một nhóm bạn Việt Nam sống tại Mỷ, chúng tôi đả thăm viếng Spain và Portugal, và ghé tham quan Đức Mẹ Fatima. Đây là một nơi người công giáo trên khắp thế giới mong muốn đến hành hương cầu nguyện.
Năm 2003, lúc về thăm viếng quê hương, chúng tôi có đến tham quan Đức Mẹ La Vang, rất nổi tiếng trong nước. Đức Mẹ Fatima nổi tiếng khắp thế giới, và Đức Giáo Hoàng tiền nhiệm đả đến thăm viếng 3 lần...

“Our Lady of Fatima is the title given to the Blessed Virgin Mary by those who believe that she appeared to three shepherd children at Fátima, Portugal on the 13th day of six consecutive months in 1917, starting on 13 May. The title of Our Lady of the Rosary is also used in reference to the same apparition; the children related that the apparition specifically identified herself as "the Lady of the Rosary". It is also common to see a combination of these titles, i.e., Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima..
According to Lúcia's account Mary confided to the children three secrets, known as the Three Secrets of Fatima. She exhorted the children to do penance and to make sacrifices to save sinners…
On October 13, 1917, the final in the series of the apparitions of 1917, a crowd believed to be approximately 70,000 in number, including newspaper reporters and photographers, gathered at the Cova da Iria in response to reports of the children's prior claims that on that day a miracle would occur "so that all may believe". It rained heavily that day, yet countless observers reported that the clouds broke, revealing the sun as an opaque disk spinning in the sky and radiating various colors of light upon the surroundings, then appearing to detach itself from the sky and plunge itself towards the earth in a zigzag pattern, finally returning to its normal place, and leaving the people's once wet clothing now completely dry. The event is known as the "Miracle of the Sun”….”
