Lee Harvey's Zombie Hit Parade

My new addition to the family

, , , , , , ,

I just recently purchased a Sony PS-LX350H manual turntable.

Yea, I know some of you absolutely hate Sony, but this thing rocks!

First off, it's pure manual operation bliss. It's got everything I wanted: Belt drive, strobe light, diamond stylus, dust cover, skate adjustment, pitch control, weighted arm balance, common-earth ground, instant stop, and spring-loaded and adjustable feet. All for $149 ($174 after shipping costs).

It arrived today (Valentimes Day), and man, am I catching-up on some vinyl memories. I haven't listened to a full album of songs in quite some time. I surely missed the meaty, beefy sound of analog vinyl. And yes, I missed my old Rush, Yes, and Pink Floyd albums.

This thing just rocks! Hail to the analog and vinyl gods...

Belt Drive isn't as good as Direct Drive. I had a Technics Direct Drive Semi-Automatic back in the day. Technics was #1 with DJs.
